 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Falcons deserved to lose at some point. They're not as good as their record.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
This Rams/49ers game just doesn't want to end.

As if the NFC West couldn't be close enough already, now there's a tie in there.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Given their schedule comparing to Giants', Cowboys should win NFC East, "should".

Does no one want to take control of the NFC?

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Now that Eagles are effectively out ( ), and seeing as Redskins have no shot either, GO COWBOYS. Only to win the division, of course. And then lose first round. As quickly and painfully as possible. I just don't care to see another mediocre Giants season, followed by a crazy playoff run. No thx. Bears/Texans could be the Super Bowl. But hopefully a better game next time around.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Bears are not winning the NFC. Not with Cutler.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Super Bowl likelihood, not power rankings.
AFC 1. Texans 2. Patriots 3. Broncos 4. Ravens
NFC 1. Bears 2. 49ers 3. Giants 4. Falcons/Packers
We'll know more about the Texans and Patriots chances once they play one another in a few weeks. Right now I'd give the edge to the Texans because they have a consistently good defense.
You can never count out the Ravens, but I think they'll look better than they really are because their schedule for the rest of the year is easy, especially now if Roethlisberger is gone for any substantial time.
I'm hesitant to put the 49ers in the two slot after they tied the Rams, but then you'd have to put the Packers or the Falcons in there. I don't trust the Falcons and the Packers...how do you barely beat Jacksonville at home?
And the Giants are doing their typical bullshit. I'll never count them out until they're dead and eliminated.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
I would still take the Giants over any NFC team in a meaningful game. Tom Coughlin knows that the Giants need to avoid a playoff bye, so he and Eli are tanking these midseason meaningless games. A wake up game against the Packers or Bears in round 1 will get them rolling.
AFC depends on matchups. Houston is vulnerable to stud QBs, so Denver and New England will be tough. I do like them over the other defensive minded teams though. The Colts will be happy to be there.
So, because I want it to happen, I'm picking Denver vs New York at the halfway point.

I am SHOCKED to see how many people are STILL picking the 49ers.
Insane.
