i'm just glad the cavs are putting up a fight. i'm not saying they'll win this series, because detroit will just about definitely win it, but i'm glad they won a big game tonight and made sheed eat his words. who knows, they may be able to stretch it to 7 if they can play like they did tonight in game 6. it would take pretty much a miracle to steal one in detroit though, they're pretty much unbeatable at the palace.

Yeah, the Pistons have only lost 4 all year at the Palace, and Cleveland can't win without winning one there and also winning at their place - which isn't a given as these last two were close games. Of course anything can happen, but I have to imagine the Pistons offense will get out of its funk eventually.
Oh, and Sheed may have eaten his words, but it doesn't mean he'll quit talking. He had this to say after this game...
"I ain't worried about these cats," he said. "There's no way in hell they beat us in a series. They played well. I give them credit. We lost. We shot 30 percent and they had to play their best to beat us."

lol the cavs hardly played their best. they had tons of turnovers that led to a lot of the pistons' points. lebron was way off tonight also. he shot just 8 of 23 and was off from the line. sheed is a moron. he thinks the pistons just shot poorly and it had nothing to do with the cavs playing stifling defense. but you know guys like him, they'll never shut their dumbass mouths.

my god, i have lost all respect for charles barkley after hearing his assinine comments tonight. not that i had much for him before this. but man... he's a moron.
EDIT: And they just showed a new angle of LeBron's 3 at the half, and he was conclusively IN BOUNDS, so Charles Barkley and all the Piston fans (other than Tony) who were whining that he was out can shut up. Just accept it that your team had an off night. It's not like they still aren't in control of the series with 2 of the last 3 in Detroit. GEEZ, can't you Detroiters (other than Tony) give the Cavs credit ONE TIME for beating you guys fair and square??

I'd like to see the Cavs win.
I'm a fan, yes, but I hate the Pistons.

Yeah, Cavs didnt play their best. They were doing pretty bad themselves offensively, they just out played the Pistons defensively.

Jeez, another heartbreaker. Dick Bavetta has gotta be one of the worse refs ever, that foul call on Bowen was just dumb. He just needs to retire, he's too old.
Anyways it sucks that most likely this wont be Pistons vs Spurs again, Spurs are one of the only teams that arent filled with ego maniacs and dont overreact to every foul call, they just keep on playing and dont act like babies.

I'm glad to see both the Pistons and Spurs are struggling. It'll be a nice change to have a final without those two teams in it.
Pistons should be able to get past the Cavs, but it might go to seven games. And I doubt they'll be able to take the Heat.
Dallas seems to be the team to beat in the West. I bet they'll take the title this year.

They're like the new Utah Jazz when Jazz always stuck in there but could never win the big one, always got shot down by Bulls.
I just dont like Cuban, just cant stand him for some reason.

I like the Spurs better than the Mavs, but I did pick the Mavs to win.
The Cavs and Mavs just look hungrier than the Pistons and Spurs right now. However, I think Cleveland just gave its fans some hope, only to get those hopes crushed. They will not beat the Pistons in 2 of the next 3 games... I guarantee it! And the Heat will NOT beat the Pistons. The Pistons have owned the Heat this year and last, and Detroit is just SO damn tough at home.
As for the Spurs, I don't think the Mavs should celebrate too early. That last game can be tought to get. SA has 2 of the next 3 at home... it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Spurs could pull a Phoenix. If they win at home the next game, they are just 1 win away from a game 7 on their floor.

Understandable. He has brought some good changes to the sport though. And a few of his observations (like only having the very best referees qualify for the playoffs) are spot-on.

Oh Snaps!!!! Larry Brown might just be coming down to the good ol Bay Area to coach Warriors. That would be pretty great, I do think he's a bit overated, but he's still a damn good coach.

I liked Larry Brown when he was in Detroit... I actually wish that Detroit would pick him up for the rest of the playoffs! It's not that I don't like Flip Saunders, but I thought that Larry kept them much more focused on their bread and butter - defense. It may not have been as fun to watch for the casual fan, but I loved watching the ugly grind 'em out games where Detroit shoots 35%, but holds the opposition to 50 points.

Either Miami is catching fire, or New Jersey just fell apart and rolled over. Miami looked pretty bad against Chicago, and then they look great against NJ. I don't know what to believe.
They're going to get at least 6 days of rest before facing the Pistons... stupid Pistons had to fart around with Cleveland! They were up by 10 points and 7 points at the end of both games in Cleveland only to hand both over to Cleveland. They may really regret toying with them in the end...

When Heat play good they play GOOD, it's one of those good teams that are kinda inconsistent here and there, but at 100% they're hard to beat

I would agree with you last year, but this year their record was horrible against the top teams in the league. I think the changes they made were for the worst. I guess the true measuring stick will be when they meet up with Detroit in the next round.

What the hell is an 8 second violation, and how did that all tie in with the timeout and the fact that he didn't dribble? I've never seen that rule called before in my life.
At least it's overtime instead of a Suns win though .

The 8 second rule has been in effect for years and years! Although, I think it used to be 10 seconds, if memory serves me correctly. You have to move the ball across the halfcourt line before the shot clock gets past 16 seconds (it starts at 24 seconds).
Sam Cassell had his head up his ass and wasn't paying attention. They called the timeout at 21 seconds on the shot clock and then he just casually walked up the court.
This is quite a game between LA and Phoenix...
