Wade to the Bulls? Imagin Lebron and Wade joining the bulls, that team would be favorites to win it all.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Heat fans must be crapping their pants right now. In a couple days they went from thinking about a Wade/Lebron/Bosh dynasty to Wade being on the verge of signing in Chicago and leaving them with Michael Beasley and nothing else... aka Hell
Next couple days is gonna be craz. Both the Heat and Cavs franchises are on the brink of glory or ultimate death

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
It's ridiculous that these owners are handing out stupid contracts to Gay, Johnson, Darko, and Gooden, all the while crying they have no money and a lockout looming next year. Retarded monkeys could run half of these NBA franchises better. Hard to feel sympathy when they keep self inflicting their own wounds.
Is there something I don't understand? Maybe having a sucky team is a massive tax write off, or something?
As for Wade and Lebron... I'm starting to think that Lebron will stay in Cleveland and Wade stays in Miami. This is just starting to feel like one of those epic events with tons of anticipation that in the end become much ado about nothing. The rest of the teams will get to fight over who gets to overpay players like Darko Milicic.

Lebron is going to NY/NJ or LA. Those three teams. That's it.

Lebron is announcing his decision on live TV, Thursday at 9 on ESPN. Awesome.
I think it's Cleveland. Would be too much of a slap in the face to his home state and fans to destroy their franchise on live tv like that.

How else would he announce it? No matter what it's going to suck for Cleveland. BECAUSE CLEVELAND SUCKS.

I think it's Cleveland. Would be too much of a slap in the face to his home state and fans to destroy their franchise on live tv like that. If he were staying in Cleveland, he'd give a humble announcement in front of Quicken Loans or something. I mean, I guess that'd be hard to keep "secret" but why even bother keeping it secret? He wouldn't care to. This is an hour-long special where he's going to get interviewed, feature interviews with his NEW teammates, unveil new jerseys and hats, etc. This sounds like he's going to the Nets or the Bulls. I kinda hope something leaks. This will be a long 48 hours. Anyway, this was on the Cleveland.com comments section and I thought it was kinda funny: Quote: How did the conversation go:
Hello, this is the president of ESPN Yeah, this is LeBron's team. Um, the Cavs? No, his TEAM. Maverick et freaking al. We want to tell you LeBron has chosen which franchise can start printing jerseys. Great. Who is it? No, we ain't telling you WHO he picked. We are telling you TAHT he picked. Ok........ And well tell you the Chosen One's Chosen Team tomorrow sometime after 9pm. Why after 9pm? It will be at the end of his one hour special. A huge tribute to LeBron and his greatness. It's gonna be amazing. Wow, um.... I did not know he was having a special. Is this really Maverick Carter? Hey yeah it's Maverick. The special is on ESPN at 9pm. One hour. Got it. See ya. Whoa, hold on there Mav. Don't hang up. We are already committed to World Cup Primetime in that slot.... Yeah, you playin me ESPM President? Hey, you know nobody watching that s**t anymore. We're taking 9 to 10 I guess we can move some advertising over... Uh uh. Stop with that. Excuse me Uh uh, we doing the advertising. (Silence) (More silence) You're doing the advertising? Now you got it. See ya at 9 Waaaaiiiiiiit. What the ggrrr are you talking about? Phew. Get this. You are canceling the advertising. We'll sell the commercials. Can't be that hard. I think Romeo took an advertising course in college. Or maybe Dru. I don't know. We'll get it done. And we'll donate an unspecified amount of proceeds to Boys and Girls Club. Aight? Look Maverick, we're glad to be on hand for this. But it's never been done before. An hour long special to tell the world a player is going to pick..... wait, what team? We ain't telling. Seriously? Damn straight. I have to put together an hour on LeBron without knowing who he is picking, anger a whole group of advertisers, give up ad dollars, and all this because... Hey man, haven't you been following your own station. What's the biggest news story of the year? My man, the Chosen One. (ESPN mumbles something about a bit of oil in some water somewhere) What was that? Nothing Maverick. All right. I guess we're on board. Where do we send the cameras for the announcement. We ain't telling. Huh? Can't Why not? What if someone figures out where the cameras are headed. That might tip off the decision. Nah. We aren't telling you. When will you tell me where the cameras need to be? The reporters? Our live feed. Yeah. We'll get back to you on that. (Click)
ESPN President goes over to his wet bar, pours a scotch and barks something about 25 year olds running his life. Then calls his producers and gets the ball rolling. Get ready sports nation. It only gets weirder.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
i think lebron is a drama queen. He is trying to milk this for all its worth. I am not sure this is going to benefit him on a long term.
Ideal decision for him would be to join forces with wade and bosh in miami. That puts them in good position to win titles with 9 other scrubs(I am assuming teams need to have at least 12 member roster and miami will trade away beasley for trade exception or cash).
But he will take the wrong decision and stay with cavs and not win any championship in the near future.

Best decision to win championships: With Wade/Bosh in Chi Best decision for legacy: Knicks/Nets/Clippers

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
yup, it's official now.
I guess what's weird is...weren't Wade/LeBron/Bosh supposed to have a conference call today? Kinda unfortunate that Bosh's plans leaked...though I'm sure LeBron already knew that, which just makes me wonder what the point of the conference call is. I don't know where Miami stands, but is it possible that LeBron is trying to squeeze his way onto the Heat by discussing salaries (er, pay cuts) with them?
Chicago seems like a bad choice, but I'm not sure. Weren't they going after Bosh, too? Or was that only to appeal to LeBron?
Honestly, I think the Clippers have the best long-term potential...plus, if he really wants to "revel" in his image, he'd get to play Kobe 4x a year.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Most rumors seem to think it is between Cleveland and Miami. I have a feeling it will be Miami, I think Riley wants another title down in South Beach. Of course that team will be insane. Two of the best players in the NBA on the same team.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
I disagree with lebron and amare plus curry's expiring contract, knicks are in a great position to challenge at least from 2012 onwards. I am expecting knicks to move curry to get someone like arenas.

Eastern conference is certainly getting much stronger now.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Apparently Lebron's news conference will be in Connecticuit and he's been house hunting in the New York area. Mix in the tweets and all signs point to the Knicks.
If it does turn out to be the Knicks I think it's a good long-term choice. He's probably not in a rush to win a title though. With Lebron and Amare the Knicks are still only a two-round playoff team, at best.

The knicks might never win a championship though if he wants to win he should go to Miami. I guess he will fit in with NY considering he is an arrogant son of a bitch as are most New Yorkers (I am talking about the city here).

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
some have said that Lebron wouldn't want to play for the Nets in New Jersey so he would sign with the Knicks for the first half of the contract to play and be in NYC and then opt out to the Nets in Brooklyn and his friend Jay Z for the second part.

Seems like he will pick the Heat. So he has decided to become a Scottie Pippen.

Plus, if one gets injured, they have no chance. so how does it work...if those 3 are getting top contracts, will Miami be able to sign any other decent players in the next 5/6 years....
