Anyway, whatever and you are just another Boston whinner too chicken to admit how good the Yankees are playing! Boston Red Sox 40 27 New York Yankees 39 28 And now let's see if the Red Sox can win their 1st World Series since 2007, since most picked them to....except me of course! PS. How come the Red Sox never repeat? Cause they don't have good teams! 2004 Red Sox - Wild Card winner and then Lucked out that the Yankees blew a 3-0 lead 2005 Red Sox - Settled for the Wild Card, and then swept in 3 Games. 2006 Red Sox - 3rd Place, No Playoffs 2007 Red Sox - Lucked out as Cleveland blows a 3-1 lead 2008 Red Sox - Loss to Tampa Bay, whose payroll was 100 Million less than Boston. 2009 Red Sox - Swept in 3 Games Again 2010 Red Sox - No Playoffs Again 2011 - Well I am picking Tampa and the Yankees.... Boy the Red Sox really are one hit wonders, who have to luck out hoping that the better team chokes!

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Yes, the Red Sox really lucked out when they won eight games in a row in 2004 and seven games in a row in 2007 to win both of their championships. None of that was skill. The better team in the series when they go up either 3-0 or 3-1 are usually able to hold those series leads. That's why they rarely happen. Fucking moron...

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
And how were the Red Sox one-hit wonders? They won twice. That goes against the very definition of "one-hit wonders". Are you not sure what that term means?

Are you not sure what that term means? well in baseball, a one hit wonder would be one that usually 1 hit in a game...and don't worry about another. Now that pertains to the Red Sox when winning a World Series, as they won't win again for years...or a 200/250 batter who goes like 1/4 or 1/5 in a game. Now if you like those odds, you can have them...

Pathetic, you have to argue everything...well yes they have made up the game, until tonight as the Red Sox could be rained out or cancelled. But right now they are only 1 game apart with the same games played. Boston Red Sox 40 27 New York Yankees 39 28 See 67 Games! Anyway, if the Red Sox play tonight then it will change to 1/2 game ot 1.5 Games, with the Yankees, still having a game to make up. So hope that helps explain how games work out, as all games aren't played at the same time! Wow and what did I say, Now up by 1.5 by with an extra game played. so the Yankees are holding on just 1 loss behind!

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Just trying to understand if it was New York Success or Red Sox Failures, which made Red Sox Fans so Jealous towards New York?
Yankees/Mets/Brooklyn Dodgers/NY Giants 36 World Series Championships while teams played in New York
Yup, 36 World Series Championships
1900s = 1 World Series Championships > 1905 1920s = 5 World Series Championships > 1921 • 1922 • 1923 • 1927 • 1928 1930s = 6 World Series Championships > 1932 • 1933 • 1936 • 1937 • 1938 • 1939 1940s = 4 World Series Championships > 1941 • 1943 • 1947 • 1949 1950s = 9 World Series Championships > 1950 • 1951 • 1952 • 1953 • 1954 • 1955 • 1956 • 1958 • 1959 1960s = 3 World Series Championships > 1961 • 1962 • 1969 1970s = 2 World Series Championships > 1977 • 1978 1980s = 1 World Series Championships > 1986 1990s = 3 World Series Championships > 1996 • 1998 • 1999 2000s = 2 World Series Championships > 2000 • 2009

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
It should be noted they also lost 44 times during this period, for a weak 46% winning percentage. The point of the story Grill, who cares? All it really shows is that New York's dominance has not been there for over 40 years. There as good as any team now, some years better or leading, other years not.
8th game today with 10 or more runs, also leading the league in runs scored. Won 12 out of the last 13. I think I'm most surprised with how good the pitching has been lately. Lackey pitched 8, Beckett 9, even with the one loss Wakefield pitched a pretty great game. I'm excited for the Phillies match up.
June totals so far (Division Leaders) Boston 12-2 Phillies 10-5 Giants 10-6 Atlanta 9-6 NY 9-6 Brewers 9-7 Tampa Bay 8-8 Texas 8-8 Cleveland 5-11

Who Cares? Well that is what I have been asking Boston Fans, as they seem to have a hate for New York. I even knew a friend's father, who watches Yankee games, just to root against them, and refuses to give up his 50 years of hate. Anyway, just look for curiosty over the last 50 years, the Yankees have won 8 times...and no other teams have won more than 3 or 4 times. So that means that the Yankees who have won 5 times in 15 years have been better than all other teams for 50 years. And with the Yankees making 14 playoffs in 15 years. Including having the 3rd best record in MLB this year so far, I think that all have to admit that right now the Yankees have been best team over 15 or 20 years. Now in 10 years, we can review it again...but I think that even the most stubborn or stupid baseball fan has to admit that, the Yankees haven't ever been dethroned.

Brewers 9-7 Tampa Bay 8-8 Texas 8-8 Cleveland 5-11 blah blah blah.....who cares....all I know is 2 things that I am interested in.... 1 - YTD W-L Record 2 - Record for the Last 10 Days - as that is easiest to find, and more than 10 days ago is all that is important really...cause really how a team played 2 weeks ago, isn't important at all.

The one game separating them from 2 games back or 3 games back. That's the detail you're looking for?

Don't you mean 11-17, since you said the last two weeks don't matter, that's there record against the #1 teams of each devision in the AL this year. I can save you the trouble, we lost to Baltimore. I have even more shocking news for you Grill, we will lose again, and will probably not hold onto the division for the rest of the year as well.

Talk to Jmart, as he is the one who has made the big deal about it! See Above! And again, Yankees doing fine, 2 Best record in AL, 3rd Best in MLB. And Gun, very impressive how the Yankees turned it around after getting beaten by the Red Sox, winning 6 out of 7 against 2 1st Place teams....But Childish Red Sox fans wouldn't care about stuff like that.

I don't believe I made a big deal of it, as I wasn't the one who called for the W-L records and record over the last ten games. I also don't believe I was the one who said those were the only two things they were interested in.

Your 6 for 7, we're 12 for 13, which is more impressive? On a serious note, when is Jeter coming back? I think it's kind of shady if they hold him out until the Yankees come back home, you know there is some sort of backend work at play.
