The Redskins will be lucky to come in third.

NFC East is still Eagles, Giants, Cowboys and Redskins. In that order. Giants love being the wild card anyway.

And really, the Giants at #5? They lost to the Cowboys and Eagles. Sorry for not believing in them because they barley beat Tampa and then dominated two mediocre teams (Carolina/Browns). If they beat San Fran this week I'll actually believe in them.

Power Rankings:

1. Texans
2. Bears
3. 49ers
4. Falcons
5. Ravens
6. Patriots

Rest aren't worth ranking.

No Vikings?

They're the champs and they're doing exactly what they did in 2008 and last year. That saying they'll be knocked out of my top ten after this week. They're not beating the 49ers.

yeah, Vikings #7. Cardinals I guess #8 because a team with 4 wins should be ranked.

Also, the Giants looked a lot better in 2008.

I think at this point it's simply being motivated for a game. When they're not motivated you get something like the start of yesterday's game. But when they turn it on, you get them outscoring the Browns 41-13 for the rest of the game.

I think my rationale is that I've been fooled by them once too often to believe they're just a 3-2 team. And now they have a running game which is something they didn't have last year.

Did you know that whenever you type "barley" I laugh because you can't spell "barely" correctly?

Pats getting overrated again. Their wins have been against defenses that haven't been able to stop their rushing attack (Ridley didnt break 100 yds in either ARZ/BALT; broke it in all their wins). If they beat Houston and San Fran back-to-back come mid-December, I'll be a believer but until then, I don't care. This team has been the biggest tease the past five years. Look good in regular season and then find a way to lose in the postseason. I have no faith that they can really beat Baltimore, Houston, or Pittsburgh in the postseason.

Pittsburgh :funny:

They got handled against the Broncos, beat a very mediocre Jets team, lose against the Raiders (who got destroyed by the Broncos, who in turn got destroyed by the Patriots until the Patriots offense went safe), and barely beat an Eagles team who is in a division where in your words, "is a mess" and "No team is good."

They'll have a decent W-L (11-5 or 12-4) total because like most of the good AFC teams, their schedule is absolute shit , but they'll lose in the Divisional round.

As for the Pats, I'd actually kind of agree with you based on the way they finished out the game yesterday, but if the Pats are overrated then you have to throw Baltimore in there is well. If the Chiefs were in any way shape or form a competent team they would've put up three touchdowns on the Ravens defense yesterday. Baltimore's defense is a shell of it's former self.

And on offense they really need to go against a mediocre defense to be able to do anything. How is it acceptable to only score nine points against the Chiefs defense?

I think the breakdown looks something like this.

1. Texans
2. Bears
3. Falcons
4. 49ers
5. Giants
6. Patriots/Ravens (they're pretty much even)
7. Vikings
8. Cardinals

All other teams aren't going anywhere.

The Chiefs have a good defense, at least the personnel is there. I think there problem is the offense goes 3 and out too often and their defense gets tired. They need to get rid of Cassel. The guy is a bum. Nobody mentioned here about some of the Chiefs fans cheering for his injury (I think that is getting a little overblown by the media). Still, he is their main problem, although Quinn isn't the answer. I just hope they tank and can get that kid from West Virginia in the draft.

Lets wait till after mid season to rank teams.
The only thing we know for sure is that Cleveland sucks.

Eli Manning and (surprisingly) Michael Vick are on pace to beat Bree's single season passing record of 5,476 yards.

Eli's monster game against Tampa Bay where he gained 510 yards through the air shows that in any given game he can explode for some huge numbers. I think he'll break the record barring any major shake ups to the O-Line or his receivers or himself obviously.

Vick is such a wild card. As an Eagles fan I've watched both games and can't believe Vick has 688 passing yards in two games. I think I was blinded by all the terrible interceptions he has thrown this year. That being said, if he can cut down on the turn overs and magically stay healthy for the whole season I think he can surpass Bree's mark as well but will probably fall just short of Manning. Realistically though Vick won't be on the field for all 16 games and if that's the case he has no shot.

What do you guys think?

Brees is now on target to break his own record. (I know I know.....it's still pretty early in the season!) He is averaging 344 yards a game....and they are still losing.

You have to win more than one game for it to be a streak.

The Chiefs have a great RB and a very good OL. But they have an awful QB. He has thrown more INTS than Tds this year. He is just a bad QB. They need a QB badly.

Let's see how Quinn does. I don't expect much...but I don't think Cassel is the answer for KC.

At this point, I would give Quinn a shot. Cassel isn't the answer so they need to know if either of the other two guys can play.

The Pats are the AFC's version of the Packers. Oh how nice that would've been to say a couple of years ago.

That Bills-Cards game was epic lolz. It all started because the Bills somehow called for a Wildcat Brad Smith to throw deep up 3 in Cards territory (intercepted), then the Feely 61 yd make, then the Bills running on 3rd and 14 before pulling off a 30 yd punt, before Feely misses a 38 yd FG. Then in OT after Fitz misses a wide open 1st down, they punt instead of take a 53 yd FG, then on the punt it's a touchback instead of being at the 1 basically because the Bills players ran into each other MLB bloopers style. Before Skelton throws an INT and the Bills still win to tie for 1st in the division. EPIC!
