Post Re: 2009 NFL Season Discussion
The games I'm most interested in this week...

Cincinnati at Green Bay (duh, I live 30 miles south of GB). 17/31
GB is the heavy favorite, which is premature IMHO. They did not play well
last week on offense. They should win, but I'm cautious.

Minnesota at Detroit 38/10
Min is the heavy favorite and they should be. Detroit sucks. This is important
for me because it's a division game with the Packers. I'll be rooting for Detroit.

Pittsburgh at Chicago 17/13
Great defenses battling. It's also important for the Packers. I'll be rooting for
Pitt, but Chicago at home can be tough. We also play Pitt late this season.

N.Y. Giants at Dallas 31/34
Just two good NFC teams playing. GB could see either in the playoffs, and we play
Dallas regardless later this season, so I'll be scouting this one.

I'm really excited to see Pats and Jets. Should be a fun game. Saints and Eagles as well

Those are the other two that have some of my interest. The Jets kid QB is very likeable and
has a great attitude. I'll be rooting for the Jets, though it will be tough against Brady.

Saints and Eagles, well, Philly doesn't have a real QB this week, so I gotta go with NO.

And Drew Brees is at it again. He's just phenomenal. I remember him fondly on my fantasy team least season

Jets Defense Holds OK.

and the Bush effect pays off for the Saints. Brew fakes to Bush sweeping left and throws for an easy TD.

Think Bush effects every game except when he just runs the ball. Not sure if he is just too small or his line isn't good enough??? as I don't watch enough Saint Games.

Loved the Saints the Year Horn and Duece were big players for them.

What could have happened the next year if Horn didn't leave as he was the key to the offense with Brees.

Ack. I hope that woke up the Packers. Sloppy first drive with 2 drops, then their
D gets run over by the Bengals. 0 - 7 :disgust:

Lucky Basterds, those Pats. Probably was down, but people all around made it impossible to reverse the call

Yup, Packs offense woke up. 11 plays 80 yards, TD to Driver. 7 -7. Time for the
D to wake up now.

Jets got screwed on that fumble. Ref should have at least said / added whether the reply allowed a clear shot of the play, if they couldn't see it clearly.

Maybe then also the team doesn't get charged a penalty.

*********

Wow lots of Pats penalities, 2 in a row, maybe the refs are doing catch up?

Jets penalty, why keep showing it in slow motion, show it real speed to see how it looked!

Adrian is averaging under 3 yards a carry, that's what's up with
Minn.

Ugh. Special teams killed Packers there. Looks to be 14-14.
