Go Li! That's unbelieveable. The journey is more than likely to end against Kim Clijsters, but it's a historical achievement.
And we could be heading to another Federer/Baghdatis final.

I think Nadal is looking awfully strong, actually. The guy has adapted a monster serve, perfect for grass. He hasn't even faced a break point in 9 sets running now, according to the guys on the telecast. Federer will still win probably, but I think Nadal is easily the most dangerous oppenent to him because of their past record.

I just put 2 and 2 together to find out why Roddick can't win another major!
No Mandy Moore.
THINK about it! He hadn't won a major before he started dating her, and he hasn't won one since they broke up! Can't be a coincidence.

Ladies Semifinals
Amelie Mauresmo FRA [1] vs. Maria Sharapova RUS [4]
Justine Henin-Hardenne BEL [3] vs. Kim Clijsters BEL [2]
There's the possibility of two very good matches on Thursday, but the possibility also exists that there will be two blowouts. Mauresmo and Clijsters, both GS champions, have shown that often times in grand slams they have the mental stability of Jana Novotna on a good day. This is especially true of Kim when she has to play her fellow Belgian.
Mauresmo is playing good, aggressive grass court tennis and has to believe that this is her best shot at winning Wimbledon. Sharapova, the 04 Champion had been playing okay to this point. After a tough 4th round match against Panetta she came back strong to take out wacky serving Dementieva in straight sets. If both play their best, I expect a tough three set match with the shrieker taking it in the end. If the real 'late in a grand slam Mauresmo' shows up Maria should book her 2nd trip to the final in three years in straight sets.
JHH played Clijsters in the finals of Eastbourne 2 weeks ago and defeated Kim in three sets. Neither have lost a set all tournament, and if JHH wants to keep that up she's going to have to serve a lot better than she did against the French qualifier in the QF. Kim's just going to have do what she has been doing, but with more winners. 11 (in the QFs) isn't going to be enough to defeat Justine. This should be a closer match than their encounter at RG because Justine's movement will not be as big an advantage on grass. Part of me wants to say Kim, because she's bound to beat Justine one of these times in a grand slam, but I think Justine will be even hungrier than normal, wanting to complete that career grand slam. Justine in 3.

Kind of a mismatched final 4, despite being the top 4 seeds. IMO Clijsters and Henin are definitley the best, and they would be playing each other in the finals if they were in different halves. Mauresmo will choke in the finals per usual I guess, Sharapova despite being just blah should beat her. As for the rest, I'll say Henin as she always wins between the two.

There's the potential for a blow-out every time there's a ladies singles match.
Of course, same for the men's side, but with less potential since they can lose 2 sets and still make it interesting.

Boo to the schedule of play tomorrow. Federer's first on Centre Court but that'll be embargoed for NBC at 10am, so the 8am live match on ESPN will be Neimienen and Stepanek. Why couldn't they have put the Nadal or Hewitt match first on Court 1. Throw us a bone.

At least there was a couple rain delays, that allowed for NBC to show some live tennis. Another 4, 4, 4 victory for Federer. I bet he's worried about a Stepanek or Bjorkman in the semis.

One semifinal is set: Roger Federer SUI [1] vs. Jonas Bjorkman SWE
They only got one of the matches on the bottom half finished today where: Marcos Baghdatis CYP [18] d. Lleyton Hewitt AUS [6] 6-1 5-7 7-6 6-2.
Nadal/Neimenin didn't even make it on court.

I'm not sad to see Hewitt go, since I loathe him.
Could Baghdatis make it to two finals this year? Because it looks like its either him or Nadal facing Federer.

Should be a good match.
I'm hoping for Nadal, because I think he's the only one who could possibly dent Federer. Plus if he finds a game outside of clay, and continues to grow stronger, maybe just MAYBE he can build a rivarly with Roger.

Im hoping for Nadal, cause once Federer crushes him on grass, he can get over this Nadal mental block and actually beat him on Clay the next year.

Well the Ladies Final is set:
Amelie Mauresmo FRA [1] vs. Justine Henin-Hardenne BEL [3]
Should be a really good match now that Amelie has mentally gotten over the GS hump. Hopefully Henin won't take any anti-inflammatories and her stomach will be fine.
Nadal won in straight sets setting up a semi with Baghdatis which should be much more competetive than Federer v. Bjorkman.

Ahh, Mauresmo actually won. She played smart, particularily in the last game, where she just hit easy defensive balls over the net, letting Maria go for the big monster shots which she missed. She didn't give herself the oppurtunity to choke.

Baghdatis juts came out of nowhere, it would benice tosee him also develop into a consistent contender. I hope its a good and clos ematch between him and Nadal.

I think Nadal will win though. From that Kendrick match on, he hasn't looked much less impressive than Federer. Straight sets and no challenge, really. I'm impressed at how good he's been on grass, actually.

Every slam is going to be Federer vs Nadal on the rate men's tennis is going.

Nobody will question Mauresmo now. Great comeback after being down a set and battled all the way to the end.
