 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Damn that Blazers game was pretty fun. We had them for most of the game but Mitchell kinda buffooned it up, Dmart/Delfino/Kapono/Humphries/Bargnani played the first 6 minutes of the 4th, including a good 1-2 after Portland put Roy and Alderidge back in, which seems small but it made all the difference. I don't wanna see that lineup under ANY situation, let alone a close game. Game was still in reach after, but all the momentum was gone with the loud Blazer crowd.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Oh well, Celtics were bound to lose a game. From the looks of it (I'm still in Florida) it looked like the Celtics played their brand of ball in the first half and then just fell into the way the Pistons play in the second half. 33 points in the second half? That'll get the job done. From the looks of it they played well, but they need to finish off games against good teams. Hopefully that'll improve down the stretch.
I'm to tired to pull up that schedule thing I did, but the Celtics still need five games to surpass their total from last year.

Oh and while it didn't have a huge effect, that game contained maybe one of the worst calls I've ever seen... Bosh got a charge and it wasn't even close. It was the equivalent of the refs picking an orange from an apple tree.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I caught the highlights of the game earlier today. I like Tony Allen but that was just a dumbfuck move. I don't care how good a shooter Chauncey Billups is, you don't foul him during the last shot of the game. He's that much better at the foul line. And why the hell was he in there during the final seconds? Did someone get hurt?

Ford's situation isn't looking too good. Been some talk of early retirement, I hope that's just overexaggeration, but I dunno.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I'd say tonight's win is easily the biggest on the year for the Celtics, simply because it shows they can beat a very good team. They go to 22-3 and they now only need four wins to pass last year's total of 25.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Orlando sucks again. No accomplishment No to be honest, Boston's fuckin crazy. In particular their defensive domination just came out of nowhere. KG is kind of coasting through the season stats-wise, but I think he deserves MVP just for how much his attitude has influenced and rubbed off on everyone else. I also think it's funny that the supporting cast this year for the Celtics is like 10x better than last year's. Ainge's work even upped Colangelo's of one year ago, manager-wise.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Celtics win their first game in Sacramento in eleven years by beating the Kings 89-69. They're now 23-3 and are two games away from beating their win total from last year. Also, there's a rumor put out by the Boston Globe that Travis Best and Gary Payton want to come to Boston. I wouldn't mind Best as a backup and Payton was good when he was here before so they could help if there's any truth to the rumor.

Celtics beat the Sonics 104-96 and they now have 24 wins. They've already matched their win total from last year in the first 27 games of the season.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Got a pretty sweet win against the Spurs on the road tonight. Pop got ejected twice, lots of techs thrown out, the crowd was pretty pissed, Hump and Bargnani were annoying Duncan all night... Who would've thunk a Spurs-Raptors game would have intensity?
Also pretty important overall with some bad games against Portland and Seattle last week, and Houston/New Orleans/Detroit still awaiting. I think that was probably my favorite win so far this year, other than maybe killing New Jersey by 30+ in the second game of the year.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Medium-ish deal but Kyle "Ashton Kutcher" Korver on the Sixers got traded for Giricek(expiring) and a 1st round pick from Utah. I like it more for Philly, though their attendance will probably take another hit now.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
And now the Celtics have beaten their win total from last year with 25. They beat the Jazz 104-98. It'll be interesting to see what they can do against the Lakers without any rest.
