I love how Mavs are still shook by what happened to them last year in the POs, pretty awesome that the Warriors brought that franchise down, they'll never be top contenders again, they've been exposed.

It's one thing to win a playoff series, it's a whole other and much sweeter thing to completely destroy a team. What GSW did to the Maverick's was almost like what Detroit did to LA in the 2004 finals. Detroit took a perfectly good LA team and fucked them up so bad that they still to this day have never recovered. The Mavs haven't blown up quite that bad - their downfall is a slower more painful death, but equally fun to watch.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Gawd I hate the Raptors schedule this month. Even if we lose against all the teams we're supposed to and beat absolutely everyone else, we're a couple games under .500. Throw in the surprises and injuries and our record will be something like 14-18 or 13-19 at the end of the month. Sucks.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
I'm really a big fan of this "winning" thing. I'm surprised the Celtics didn't try for this over the past couple of years because it's really good. They beat the Bulls tonight 92-81 to go to 17-2. For those of you keeping track at home, the magic number to beat last year's entire win total now stands at 8 games. Looking at their schedule for the rest of December....
Wednesday Dec. 12 - Kings Friday Dec. 14 - Bucks Sunday Dec. 16 - @ Raptors Wednesday Dec. 19 - Pistons Friday Dec. 21 - Bulls Sunday Dec. 23 - Magic Wednesday Dec. 26 - @ Kings Thursday Dec. 27 - @ Sonics Saturday Dec. 29 - @ Jazz Sunday Dec. 30 - @ Lakers
Honestly, they could win every game. They obviously won't (Pistons, Magic, Jazz and Lakers have a chance - the first two a really good chance), but they should have win 25 by the end of the month.

TJ Ford had a horrific injury. It's on YouTube but I just don't want to see that. :/

He's ok. Scary for a bit there though considering his history.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Blazers knocked off the Warriors in a big way tonight. That makes it five in a row, and with seven of our next eight at home, we are setting ourselves up nicely to get solidly above .500 and possibly get positioned for playoff run later in the season.

The Celtics improve to 18-2. They now need seven wins to pass their win total from last year.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Knicks lose fourth, fifth game in a row, against lowly Sonics, who lost by around 50 against lowly Bulls day ago. Just wonderful.
Crash of team plane sounds so delicious now.

The Celtics improve to 18-2. They now need seven wins to pass their win total from last year. 19-2 now. Six wins to pass their total from last year. And with the win tonight at home, the Celtics are a perfect 12-0 at home. The only Celtics team that started off this good at home were the '83-'84 Celtics according to Comcast Sports Net, but that doesn't make much sense. It'd make more sense if they were talking about the '85-'86 Celtics who went 40-1 at home. That's unless that team lost their game very early on.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Bargnani is depressing me. I'm happy with perennial playoffs, but damn, everytime I see Roy or Gay drop 25+ I cringe. Andrea is like a lost puppy, even on his good outside shooting days he has no dimensions, intangibles, d, or other game sense at all. I'll be patient, but it's worrisome.

Blazers won again tonight -a beatdown of Denver ON THE ROAD - to make it seven straight. We are at .500 now, with our next six at home.
What the hell is going on?

Blazers win again tonight, overcoming a weak offensive showing by shutting down the Hornets to the tune of 76 points. Eight in a row, finally back over .500 with a 13-12 record.

Monday news... Suns hand Spurs their first home loss. Mavs beat a good road team in Orlando. Knicks suck it up as usual (by 27 points). Cavs win a double-ot game over the Bucks.

It's up to the RAPTORS to stop the almighty Blazer machine! Oh and as for the Magic, they were overperforming. The team was never that great, they just started hot like the last two years.
