A JVG team took 92 shots. That's just insane.

But the Suns are resting after their MUCH needed win against the MAVS, because the Mavs suck, they will be in PERFECT shape for a playoff run. you're talking outta your ass again.
And you have been all season. But when it REALLY mattered, the SUNS beat the MAVS.

Nice seeing Suns and Mavs fans talking trash...that is, when one thinks San Antonio will anyway rule the west in playoffs. :-)

The Spurs remind me of the Detroit Red Wings of a couple years ago. Great during the season, veteran players that have been to the playoffs before... but once the playoffs come, they'll die down and a younger team will emerge because the younger team is HUNGRY. The Spurs have what they want already, they don't need to prove themselves, and they won't. It'll be down to the Suns or Mavs.

Yeah, but the Pistons did play without Chauncey Billups (they're 3-6 without him this year), and were also without their backup PG (Lindsey Hunter). And the Pistons were in control for much of the game and only blew it when Rip Hamilton missed 3 free throws in a row in the 4th quarter and some easy layups. They should've had that one...
I'm going to go on record now and say the champion will come out of the East this year. I can feel a gigantic choke coming on from the Western Conference.

El Pollo Loco wrote: Yeah, thats possible. Wizards havnt been looking all that great, thats probably the team Raptors would wanna face.
Yeah, Wizards are the prime choice right now for us, though on paper I don't see it happening. That would require a) Toronto getting 3rd seed over division winning Miami or b) Wizards getting 5th seed over Bulls... Bit unlikely either way. I actually wouldn't hate a Miami match-up if Shaq's old timers run slows down in the next couple weeks, I still feel that they are overperforming without Wade, they won't keep up that unstoppable momentum forever, especially with tiring old legs.
As for the inconsistent thing... I wouldn't say they've necessarily been inconsistent, but since the All-Star break Raptors have been human enough to probably lose early in the playoffs and build for a run in the next couple. This year has been split into 3 parts- First third was sub-.500 suck, second third was an inhuman couple months of winning games like the West powerhouses, then post All-Star break it's mostly decent but nothing more, beating the teams we're supposed to but losing to all the ones we are too, and being poor on the road. Bulls should be interesting though.
On a un-related to Toronto note, I think the West is looking pretty exciting in terms of overall outcome this year. If it was just the big 3 with Dallas, Phoenix, and San Antonio all playing great, it'd be interesting, but now Houston have Ming back and is starting to look dominant, and Denver has finally started clicking... Phoenix looked shaky against LA in last year's playoffs, I could see a similar situation if the two play this year. Should be pretty fun.

Someone please remind me why I'm watching the Celtics/Bobcats game? The Celtics are currently up by 18 and it still feels like torture.
Is baseball season here yet?

Celtics had the 18 point lead I mentioned and completely fucked it up in the 4th. On one hand it sucks to be a Celtics fan right now, but on the other hand it's good to see they might have a good future pick in the lottery.

I don't care about winning records or what not, Kobe deserves MVP... he's gonna get robbed for the second straight year. 50 points in 3 straight games for the first time in 20 years, and he's doing it all alone! A ridiculous show being put on. Plus he's single handingly giving the Lakers mucho needed wins. At 58 right now with a couple minutes left, wonder if he'll beat that OT 65. Dirk is great, but my ass he's the most valuable player... he's just the best on the best team.

Kobe could score 50 points any time he wants. Just crazy.
Rockets almost blew a big lead again, but when they're on, they're really good. Yao is really consistent now.

You people don't listen. Dirk is NOT MVP... Nash is.
You can't be MVP if your team sucks and you scoring 50+ a night doesn't even help.

1- Nash won't get it this year. No fucking way he gets it three years in a row.
2- Yep or Iverson would be getting it every year.

There is NOBODY that is as valuable as Nash to their team. If Dirk went out, Dallas would still win lots of games. But when Nash is out, Phoenix loses about 85% of the time...

Kobe with 4 60 point games is now tied with Jordan for second most in the reg. season ever btw... Wilt has 32, lol. That's up there with the 50 point average in a season and the 100 point game. Nba.com is crazy for even questioning Bryant as great as he is for the greatest scorer ever, Wilt's records kill everyone.

Toronto 54
Denver 26
It's times like this I'm happy I found a live Raptors stream on the internet. Even better is the fact that the stream is from Denver's announcers.
