Officially the worst start in a long Leafs history. And we traded our pick. lmfao

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
The Bruins are above .500 and they beat a reasonably good team.

Leafs have gone from losing every game to losing every game in OT or SO.
well it's a start

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
And back to .500 we go.
It's sad to say, but until we get Lucic and Savard back, if they're hovering around the .500 mark that's a good thing. Then hopefully after that they'll be able to play a little more consistently (in that they're doing nothing but winning).

Leafs are starting to take shape now. HAGman rules
oh and Ales Hemsky is done for the season... looks like the Leafs might finish ahead of the Oilers

God damn Phil Kessel is good. Thanks Jmart.
Feels good to have another franchise player with Bosh and Halladay in getmeoutofhere mode... he won't be run out of town for at least 5 years : D

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
No problem. We're doing okay without him. Earlier in the year when we lost Savard and Lucic (that 7-year extension was vital in keeping the Bruins somewhat of a contender), I think a few of us fans might have regretted that deal, but we've done just fine without him and our offense is starting to turn around. We still need a decent goal scorer though. And I'll raise you your Phil Kessel with Marco Scutaro, a name that (now that he's on a good team) will drive fear into the hearts of AL pitchers for the next two years.

The Maple Leafs ran into a real pissed off Bruins team tonight.

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
At least the Maple Leafs made a game of it early in the third.
Oh, and what the fuck is going on in the Western Conference? When did the Wings slip to 10th? And how did the Kings become the first to win 20 games?

The West makes the East look like the AHL.

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
Off to the Bruins game. Hopefully they can put forth a better effort tonight than they did against the Islanders. I'm not sure what is, but they've had our number this year for some reason.

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
The Kings are now first in the West. They haven't led the conference since fucking 1991.

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
I'll be honest, I want the Kings to do well, but looking at their roster, I'm just waiting for it to fall apart for them. We've already seen Colorado drop off a bunch from the start of the season.

trixster wrote: Jmart, are you going to the winter classic? Not that I know of. Not unless my parents pulled off some sort of miracle for Christmas. There were close to 400,000 people on a waiting list just to purchase tickets. And you've got to figure about 20,000 are probably reserved for the "elite". The chances of getting a ticket that's not a complete ripoff are (were) probably slim at best for the people who really want to be there.

 Re: NHL 2009-2010 Season
It was the same sort of thing when we had the Heritage Classic. And how many people can Fenway hold? 35,000? Commonwealth Stadium holds 60,000 and it was still sold out months in advance. Craziness.
