Quote: That'll suck ass if that happens. Ha Ha. Quote: Yet he has yet to win league MVP. And who cares? He has three rings. That's all that matters. Quote: Why he should get it this year. Of course it is. Moss is going to get some consideration, but if Brady keeps this up he'll win it in a landslide. I think most people have enough common sense to realize that the quarterback is the most important player on the field. Without Brady, Moss doesn't mean jack shit to this team. Without Moss, Welker & Stallworth would be performing like those other average receivers the Pats had in past years. Why is Welker kicking ass this year? MOSS! Those championship winning recievers?

stick to the fucking subject guys. Jmart007Why is Brady having a once in a lifetime season and on the verge of getting the league MVP (his first i believe)? What's change this year that's turning him into a touchdown throwing machine. Answer that honestly.

And what has changed Moss from a TD avoiding machine of the last 2 years into a TD catching machine on pace to break the record for most touchdowns in a season?

Re: Moss is more valuable than Brady
The past is relevant in this discussion, as we know what the Patriots have done without Moss. We don't know what they would do without Brady.

If the Pats never traded for Moss... but still got Stallworth and Welker... Brady would still be on pace to win the MVP.

Want me to go through the list of recievers again? And once in a lifetime? HE HAS THREE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONSHIPS! THIS YEAR MEANS NOTHING IF HE DOESN'T HAVE ANOTHER ONE.

Re: Moss is more valuable than Brady
I'm no fan of Brady or Moss, but clearly you can make a much more logical case that Brady is more important to NE than Moss is. As has been pointed out, NE is a proven winner without Moss, and their pre-Moss dominance was tied directly to Brady. Period, and end of story.
You guys are arguing that Moss deserves MVP because he took a great team and a great quarterback and made their stats slightly better? That's just bizarre. If Moss came to a NE team that was a piece of shit and made it shine by himself, then you'd have a case. But, as we have seen with his tenure in Oakland, when he joins a crappy team he plays to their level.
Moss is not the type of player to lead a team or elevate it to greatness... qualities of an MVP. He's the type that decides to play if they're already good. In my book (and I have one!) that is not what an MVP is about. An MVP is somebody like Favre - who even though he has been on some shitty teams, he plays his guts out to make it a better one 100% of the time.

Except when, in the biggest game of the year, you backup outplays you and almost wins the game after you tried to give it away.

Well, I was just giving a general example of a characteristic I'd want to see in an MVP... somebody that actually elevates the team, even when it is a bad one. It's easy to play on a good team and do well. It's no so easy to play on a bad team and do great. A better example would be Barry Sanders. Randy Moss is no Barry Sanders.
