Ok, now that Manning has FINALLY won a Super Bowl here's how ESPN voters think:
1. Joe Montana
2. John Elway
3. Peyton Manning
4. Dan Marino
5. Brett Favre
6. Tom Brady
7. Steve Young
8. Johnny Unitas
9. Terry Bradshaw
10. Troy Aikman
11. Bart Starr
12. Roger Staubach
Now 1 I won't argue with, even though I would still go with Brady. Peyton is still way too high, as is Marino. And Bradshaw is way too low, along with Brady.

Yeah, I would switch Brady and Manning on that list. Brady has proven his brilliance in the playoffs when it is truly needed, Peyton had a decent breakthrough this year but he still threw a lot of interceptions, his defence won this championship. Plus the Bears were such a terrible Superbowl opponent, I'm not sure if it wasn't pulling a miracle comeback in the moment against New England, and then cruising in the Bowl against retarded Rex.

Brady should be at least four on that list, but I understand why Manning is three at the moment, since people have short attention spans. To have Brady behind Marino and Farve is a tad dumb, and by the time Brady's career is over, that won't even be an argument.

Whoa whoa whoa...Favre is about to own almost all the major passing records, has the most starts in a row for any quarterback ever, has the most MVPs for any player in the history of the league (3 in a row!!), and has the ring. So Brady is a great player, but above Favre, not so much.

BRADY HAS 3 RINGS!!! He's only been in the league for 7 years!!!
He still has a good 8-10 years left in him where he could win 3 more!
You're all insane if you don't think Brady is in the Top 3 just because his stats aren't gaudy.
1. Montana/Brady
2. Montana/Brady
3. Bradshaw

Brady has had less to work with than pretty much EVERY Super Bowl winning QB. And he STILL wins.

So someone like Trent Dilfer is a better QB than Dan Marino? The ring argument is bullshit. It's a factor, but getting a ring is a team deal.

Yeah, it is. But when your team isn't that strong, then it falls on the QB. New England isn't that strong of a team, but they have Tom Brady, and that makes them better than they are.

During their SB runs they had very strong teams. Add in one of the greatest coaching staffs of all-time and its easy to see why they won so many SBs in a row. I'm not trying to take anything away from Brady, he would be in my top 10 definitley, but I want to see him put up some of the gaudy stats and get the MVPs before I move him up on my list.

NE wasn't a strong team?
Same reason Montana should be behind Elway, Manning, Marino, and maybe even Favre IMO.

Brady has never had a great receiver. Branch was only great BECAUSE of Brady, he's struggling with Seattle. Troy Brown is only good, and he plays both sides of the ball so he can't be as great as he could be.
His running game has never been great. Dillon and Faulk are both aging, but Maroney should help a lot.
His defense just keeps getting older, sure, it was VERY good, but over the past 3 or so seasons they've seemed slower than usual.
They need to get younger. Belichick needs to wear nicer clothes. They need a receiver.
If Brady were to get someone as good as Branch, or better, back, then Brady might be able to get those "gaudy" stats. But that's not how the Pats play anyway, so I doubt it would happen.

If he can play defense too, he just might get a second ring next year.

It's going to be Brady or Manning, time will tell. One of them might have a career-ending injury but I don't really see it happening to both of them.

I think that we can all agree that after the next decade we'll all have Rex Grossman at the top of the list.
That's assuming he wins 10 super bowls in a row, which I think is highly likely.

So, I saw some stats the other day...
Brady has a better winning percentage, by a lot, more super bowls, and more 4th quarter/OT game winning drives than Elway and Montana before turning 30.
That's ridiculous

And barring any injuries, a fourth on the way. That's really the only thing that could stop the Patriots this year. Other than that, they are solid on both sides of the football.
