Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
I think the Raptors could get Kawhi if we paid enough, the question is whether we want to for a possible bitch and rental

Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
Kawhi to the Raptors should probably worry me more than I actually am right now. That’s probably because if the Raptors are smart, they’ll just turn around and ship him to LA, especially if Kawhi really doesn’t want to have anything to do with Toronto. Dump DeRozan’s contract, get Ingram, etc. and maybe some draft picks, open up some cap space for next year...not bad if you’re Toronto.

Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
Weird deal for Toronto. With LeBron gone they probably should have just rolled it back. I guess they didn’t give up that much atleast. It’s just a swap of the team’s best players.
The Spurs stay competitive instead of rebuilding, probably just to make Pop happy for his last few years.

Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
Toronto made the most sense for Kawhi because we are more desperate than the other East teams. Boston and Philly are too well set up to take the risk. If this doesn't work we'll just blow it up anyways and we kept our best prospects like Anunoby and Siakam. I also really like betting against the Lakers after some of their follow-up moves. How appealing will they be when they get a 7 seed with Lebron starting to look like a player in his 16th season?

Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
The Cavs just gave Kevin Love a huge extension even though he still had 2 years on his contract. I definitely like the messaging behind that - we are not giving up yet. And Kev will now be set for the rest of his career - whatever team that ends up being on.

Re: NBA Thread - The Decision 3
Cavs must think he's going to be MIN Love, but that is a hell of a long contract. 3 years 90 would have sufficed

Cold move by the NBA. Rather than going with the traditional finals rematch, they are giving the spot to LeBrons new team. The other guys helped a little lol.

Lakers are going to miss the playoffs, or make the 8th seed and get torched in Rd 1.

Kawhi on the Raptors seems to be working out. Same with Coach Bud and the Bucks. Nobody is beating the Warriors but I’d like an entertaining finals at least.

Shack, if the Raps make it, would you rather face the Warriors or LeBron in the finals?

Harden going back to back. The West is as usual all tight where everyone is within 3-4 games of each other as usual.

 Re: NBA Thread - 2018/2019
Knicks trade Porzingis, Tim Hardaway, Jr, Courtney Lee, for Dennis Smith, Wes Matthews expiring, Deandre Jordan expiring and a pick. Actually think despite the trading Porzingis shock factor, not a bad deal for Knicks to dump salary for some FAs and get Smith and a pick. The question is which free agent has told them he's coming - is it Durant, or are they just going to follow the normal Knicks pattern and drop 300 million on Kyrie and Butler and have a few 40 win seasons before Kyrie's knee blows out
