 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
Why did Butler not get the ball to Clarke the last two minutes? He didn't shoot the ball once. He is your best player you get him the ball.
They had several chances there at the end. I don't get why they couldn't get the ball to Clarke more at the end other than that one shot.

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
the ending was kind of unbelievable. Wichita hit 7 straight 3 pointers when they were struggle to hit them before that. Wichita won't get far. I can't see them beating Ohio State or Arizona. I still think this is Louisville's to lose. They are too good and are just smoking teams.

Louisville doesn't suck. They have a great offense and an amazing defense. They forced a bunch of turonvers in that game.

Gonzaga was just embArassing. They just made it 100x more difficult for a team to get a 1 seed in the future that runs a schedule like theirs. Just embarassing..

However, it isn't the first time a #1 seed lost in this round. Pittsburgh lost two years ago to Butler in the same round, and there are countless other examples of it happening. I think it is just more common now because of the parity between teams. As to today's games, Ohio State hung on to beat Iowa State with a last second shot. The game was much closer than I thought. Not sure who will win between them and Arizona, although right now I give Arizona the edge.

Temple is giving Indiana all they can handle taking a 3 point lead into half time.

Temple had their chances just couldn't hold on to the lead. Indiana still looks weak to me. I can see Syracuse beating them next week.

Iowa State was perhaps this year's most overlooked team. Not surpirsed at all they almost won.

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
Kansas is inconsistent, and a second half team, if they end up beating North Carolina, I am very nervous about Michigan...you're welcome Chip

Where did Florida Gulf Coast come from? Would be awesome to see them somehow beat the Gators.

Florida Golf Coast is an amazing story. They are the story of the tournament, and I wonder if they could pull a VCU.

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
When is Coach of the Year handed out? Enfield should get some consideration over the usual boring choices they'll probably go with. They've only had a team for 2 years and they've just made the Sweet 16.

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
Yeah we are going to have a lot of low seeds here. I think one could get into the Final Four. I would watch out for LaSalle. They seem to have that VCU vibe going for them.

Who do you all consider the best current coach? I'd probably go with Coach K.

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
I'd say the top five active coaches are:
1. Coach K 2. Rick P 3. Bill Self 4. Tom Izzo 5. Roy Williams

 Re: College Basketball 2012-2013
So both UCLA and Minnesota have fired their coaches. Who do you think they'll try and get? Minnesota's AD is the former one at VCU so Shaka Smart comes to mind but would he leave VCU? Someone has to give the likes of Bryce Drew and Andy Enfield a look as well. Would Brad Stevens leave Butler?
