Blowhard bigmouth Schilling blows it big time. Gives up two-run homer to A-Rod, then takes notes on the bench on how to save a game from MO!!! 8-6 and the Yanks are only 1 and a half out in the AL East.

Good thing I knew we weren't gonna win this game. It looks more like the Staten Island Yankees out there than the New York Yankees.

Hell a split is great, but 3/4 would be gravy. Let's hope Leiter can get back some of his New York magic tomorrow night at Fenway.

P.S. Hafner's a pussy

we traded Gerut to the Cubs  . I liked Jody Gerut, even if he wasn't playing that great. All we got was another "power prospect". Our stupid trades work every once in awhile though. Roberto Alomar for Matt Lawton certainly didn't, but Bartolo Colon for Sizemore and Lee is certainly seeming good now.

poor Kevin Millwood, he's having a great year in terms of pitching abilitiy, but we NEVER score any runs for him. Seriously, we've been shut out for 3 of his last 4 starts. Hopefully Hafner will be back tonight, and hopefully Dubois will begin hitting. We could use him in the #5 spot.

Fuck Torre. Fuck him in his fucking ass. The Yanks should be 7-1 on the road trip but due to him they're 5-3. Thanks for losing another game you old, senile piece of shit.

Now that the Yanks have no pitching, we're all beginning to see how Torre is a bad manager, and the years that the Yanks won the WS were due entirely on the players they had.

How is the Yankees lack of pitching Torre's fault?

I'm not saying it is. But good managers often can work around it. Torre has brought in Franklin, Groom, and Proctor in close games. This is no fault but his own.

Who else does he have to go to? You can only use Gordon and Rivera so much. Sturtze? The Yankees have a limited bullpen, and that's not Torre's fault.

Here is the list of the Yankees current bullpen staff.

Tom Gordon - Relief
Buddy Groom - Relief
Scott Proctor - Relief
Mariano Rivera - Relief
Felix Rodriguez - Relief
Aaron Small - Relief
Tanyon Sturtze - Relief

Who would you choose from that list?

I would've used F-Rod who's been very effective over Proctor, Groom, and Franklin, all players he's used in close games. Plus now we need Small to start since Brown is injured, and Pavano is getting his next start pushed back.

Yeah, I guess so. The only reason though that I can think of, for Torre not using him, is that he doesn't want to do to him what he did to Tom Gordon last year. At this point though, unless the Yankees get help in the bullpen, he doesn't really have much of a choice.

Everything was coming up good today. Larry Brown was named the head coach of the Knicks, Javon Walker decided to report to training camp, and Al Leiter pitched 5 innings of one-run ball. Then the Yankees bullpen got to work. Sigh.
