 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Seeing the Spurs get their ass kicked by the Suns makes me feel less bad about the pounding the Blazers got. Spurs probably will bounce back, but the Suns looks like the team on a mission.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
And the Cavs prove that they are still a team that relies too much on 3 pointers. Beginning of the 4th quarter went like this for 5 straight possessions. Cavs miss open 3 -> Celtics get fastbreak layup. Disgusting.

Jesus Christ, Phoenix. Now I don't feel so bad about the Blazers losing in 6.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
For the second, Rondo's ridiculous. He was amazing in last year's playoffs, but his performance in Game 4 was simply mindboggling. How the fuck does a 6'1" point guard get as many rebounds as the entire Cavs team, who has Shaq, Big Z, and LeBron at least in the fourth quarter?

Because one team was playing basketball, the other team was bent over taking it in the ass with no objections.

What a shitty second round. Aside from the Cavs-Celtics series, everything was a freakin' sweep.

The Phx/SA series was awesome if you watched the games.
Puff the Magic Dragic is going to be special. And Steve Nash REALLY wanted to beat the Spurs.

WOW Lebron was embodied by the spirit of 2007 Dirk tonight... it's one thing to miss shots, but he wasn't even looking to do anything. Horrible choke. Possibly a "classic" choke game.

LeBron needs an elite COACH. He needs to come to Boston! I hope the reason he wasnt doing shit was because he was scouting his future team

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
A Boston victory in this series is going to make for a very interesting off season. I'd still bet against Lebron leaving, but at least this'll make it far from a done deal.
I would think an early exit this year will also weigh heavily on Lebron's shoulders. His supporting cast really isn't that bad this year, and at some point you have to wonder if he just doesn't have what it takes to lead his team to a Championship. He seems to be lacking that certain something that Jordan or Kobe has/had.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
I think you'll find that Antawn Jamison's career stats rival those of any of those 2nd tier people you mentioned. Jamison is a career 20 point, 8 rebound guy. Mo Williams isn't that far behind as he's been around 17 points a game in recent years. I definitely think they have enough pieces that they should not be getting bounced in the 2nd round.
Perhaps a lot is at Mike Brown's feet, but there is just something about Cleveland that doesn't always click, and it gets really ugly when the shit hits the fan. They just don't seem to gel as a team that well. Part of that is going to be laid on Lebron as he is the leader.

Jameson and Mo have dissappeared in the playoffs. LeBron has become the Peyton Manning of basketball.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Antawn isn't that far off his averages and outside of two playoff games has been scoring pretty well shooting near 50%. Mo has been off quite a bit in this series.
But watching that game last night, it was pretty amazing to see Lebron just fold. After the first few minutes, he didn't even seem to be trying, and it sucked the life out of his team. It was pretty odd to watch in such an important game, and I definitely think this game will tarnish his rep just a tad. He's got an awfully big "can't win the Championship" cloud over his head that is just getting bigger every year this happens.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Mo's biggest problem last night was defense. He can't get out of Rondo's way fast enough at times.
Antawn's stats are definitely not below those other's you mentioned. Take a look:
Antawn's career stats: 19.8 ppg, 45.6% fg, 8.1 reb, 1.7 ast Scottie Pippen's career: 17.5 ppg, 44.4% fg, 7.6 reb, 5 ast Pau Gasol's career: 18.8 ppg, 52.1% fg, 9.0 reb, 3.2 ast Tony Parker: 16.6 ppg, 49% fg, 3.1 reb, 5.6 ast Ray Allen: 20.5 ppg, 45% fg, 4.3 reb, 3.7 ast

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
Yeah, except the Cavaliers don't have the team to pull that off. Yes, they could come back and beat the Celtics over the next two games (even though I think the Celtics are too good as a team to let that happen), but then to get by the Magic and Lakers, based on the way they've played?
That's not happening. Not unless they have another gear they haven't shifted into yet.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
LeBron is gone. He's going to New York. I didn't even think it was a question anymore.
He will never be the world phenom he wants to be in CLEVELAND. The only place for him is NY.

 Re: NBA 2009-2010 season
I enjoy seeing James being beat down every year. Maybe it is from those years I had to watch him give the Pistons fits, but I also always thought he was much too cocky, much too soon. All his monickers... "King James", "The Chosen One", and even the "Witness" thing were way too premature.
The odds on favorite right now seems to be the Bulls, but I'm still betting he stays with Cleveland.
I look for Cleveland to dump Mike Brown (rightfully so), and bring in a real coach.
