It's been said before, but I'll say it again.
Mets suck.

Another sweep by the Tribe. And the other AL Central teams are not showing any signs of being good enough to make up the huge deficit they've put themselves in.

About freakin time Torii.
Great series win against ATL. Bobby Abreu now ties Lou Gherig on the all time list in doubles. Thank you Philadelphia and San Francisco for winning the series against our rivals.

Yes, it looks like the CC and Lee trades are finally paying off. I knew they were going to improve with their strong farm, but I didn't think it would happen too soon. Another funny coincidence is that whatever team acquires Orlando Cabrera is assured a spot in the postseason (Red Sox in 04, Angels in 05 and 07, White Sox in 08, Twins in 09 and the Reds in 10). Maybe the Pirates and Nats should acquire him next year to finally win a division.

Only 2 games between first and last!

What a comeback! Only one run down, but the game looked over. Asdrubal Cabrera is on fire. Nothing better than beating those stinkin' Sox.

The Red Sox are going to take the series vs the Indians with them winning 14-0 in the 6th. Didn't the Indians do this to the Royals last week?

Angels pick up Russell Branyon I see. At least he's better than nothing.

The Red Sox offense sure surged the last two days, scoring 28 runs in the last two days. They have been amazing and Crawford finally looks like the player he was last year.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
I guess the first few weeks of the season was the Sox way of giving the other teams a break and get out to a head start because they're firing on all cylinders right now. If they stay healthy they might break the record for runs scored.

About yesterday's game, that was an unbelievable comeback by my Halos (Although the Twins do have the second worst bullpen in the majors). And this Peter Bourgos kid is beginning to amaze me, with his spectacular defense, especially when he robbed Thome of number 594. His speed is ridiculous, turns doubles into triples, turns ground outs into infield base hits. All he needs to do is cut down on the strikeouts.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Went to a DBacks game on May 17th. It was the first win in a streak of 13 out of 14. The best team in baseball RIGHT NOW.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Sorry but my Phillies are the best team in baseball, and should take the World Series this year. Also, while reading this page, found it funny how these Boston fans are. A couple of wins and they are the best team ever, are going to score more runs then anyone, and Crawford is back on track. Well nice to see a bunch of losses and Crawford back to stinking up the place again.

DBacks are 15-2 in their last 17 games. Thus, they are the best team in baseball right now.

So for starters, how are the Red Sox going to set the record for runs scored when they are 6th right now in MLB, and that isn't even talking about whatever the record is. Long way to go, but keep dreaming.

Calm down, dude. Don't get upset just because the Phillies won't win this year.

I am fine just discussing some posted baseball points, and I but just checked how great Crawford is doing, with a 0'fer yesterday, hitting 240s, and leaving 6 guys on base. Until he is at the top of the line up, I don't think he should be considered back.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
I guess this place isn't the site to talk baseball. I was excited to read some of the posts as the people sounded like they were into baseball here. But as the Red Sox, DiamondBacks and Angels lose, no baseball talk from any of the above. And yes, my Phillies lost but I have no interest to talk to myself. But I am most curious about these Red Sox Fans who were bragging about having the greatest team based on a good week, and now, no comments after 3 losses. Too Funny or Just Sad.

Seems like a lot of teams are getting lucky by beating the Red Sox. And as the Red Sox are on a 3 game losing streak, guess the Red Sox can also lose to any team in baseball.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Red Sox bring in Papelbon, even when though they are losing 5-4 in the 9th. Deperate Times, as Red Sox looking at a 4 game losing streak. And Papelbon gives up a 2 run homer. Gotta love it. Red Sox Now down 7-4.
