matatonio wrote: hehe im not surprised, it might be because i dont like the pat. Every NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB team does it, so I'm not surprised. Now, that in no way condones what the Patriots did. What they did was flat out stupid, especially since they've been caught before, and it might cost them a draft pick (And rightfully so), and seeing as they're probably the best team in football and probably don't need extra help. Every team does it though. Most just don't get caught. They just need to pick a better strategy, starting with not placing a guy in the stands with a fucking video camera. How many people even bring tape-ready video cameras to football games?

Excel wrote: no they dont; if they had they wouldnt have been so obvious. Yes they do. The Patriots were caught with their pants down. They could've had a ninja in there and they still would've found him or her, because the Jets were tipped off before the game that the Pats were known to have done this before (Green Bay). This was just flat out stupidity, because Belicheck knows in a vague sense about the system because they've played the Jets before and because of Mangini.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Fantastic news on the Kevin Everett story. Quote: BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Kevin Everett voluntarily moved his arms and legs on Tuesday when partially awakened, prompting a neurosurgeon to say the Buffalo Bills' tight end would walk again -- contrary to the grim prognosis given a day before.
"Based on our experience, the fact that he's moving so well, so early after such a catastrophic injury means he will walk again," said Dr. Barth Green, chairman of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Miami school of medicine.
"It's totally spectacular, totally unexpected," Green told The Associated Press by telephone from Miami.
Green said he's been consulting with doctors in Buffalo since Everett sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury Sunday after ducking his head while tackling the Denver Broncos' Domenik Hixon during the second-half kickoff of the Bills' season opener. Rest of the article here.

I heard the interview with his surgeon, everyone is so happy about it. When things like that happens, when someone does something nobody ever expects, it really shows how strong and tough our minds and bodies are.

yeah, hes not playing again. A spinal cord injury is indeed a life changer. He will move but he will most likely have problems doing so.

Wow. The Patriots thoroughly bitched slapped the Chargers tonight. I wonder what excuse LT is going to come up with.

Titans vs. Saints Patriots vs. Bengals Dallas vs. Buffalo (Okay, that one sucks) Giants vs Falcons (See above) Colts vs. Jaguars Packers vs. Broncos Ravens vs. Steelers 49ers vs. Seahawks Titans vs. Broncos Dolphins vs. Steelers Patriots vs. Ravens Saints vs. Falcons Bears vs. Vikings Broncos vs. Chargers If it weren't for Michael Vick, this would be a somewhat solid lineup.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
There is still a few weeks left in the season, but it's looking pretty clear to me that the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans will be meeting in the Superbowl this year. I'm leaning a little toward the Lions winning it, but the Texans should put up a good fight.
