What is hilarious the ATLANTA HAWKS were mroe of a challenge for the Celtics than the LOS ANGELES LAKERS :hahaha:

For the playoffs got easier with every series for Celtics.

False. Cavs series was easily their hardest of the playoffs.

Perhaps true, but I don't think it was because Cleveland was their best opponent. Ray Allen was absolutely miserable all the way through the Cleveland and Atlanta series, which is largely why those series went much longer than they should have.

Once Allen returned to form - around the 3rd game of the Detroit series - they really kicked it up a notch. I believe Allen scored 20+ points every game after those terrible games.

I think the Celts got better with each passing round. If they had played Detroit or LA like they did against Atlanta or Cleveland, they would have lost.

The most challenging point for the Celts had to have been when they lost game 2 to Detroit, losing home court advantage.... at a time they had not won a playoff road game (they were 0-6 at that time on the road). I honestly thought they were sunk after that.

But, that was when Allen caught fire and they went 7-3 the rest of the playoffs - winning 3 on the road, including 2 wins in Detroit and 1 in LA.

Apparantley we got pretty damn close to trading Ford, Rasho's expiring, and the 17th pick for Jermaine O'Neal, though talks have broken down for now.

I probably would've done it. Even though he's an expensive health risk... if he did regain some form (He is only 29, just broken down. And you could make a case that on a potentially contending playoff team instead of Indiana which he hated the last couple years, he might turn the corner, if you know what I mean) he'd be a perfect interior defender to go beside Bosh. Also, he'd be 20 mil off the cap in the 2010 offseason, which should be one of the most star-studded ever. If he doesn't work out, we sign someone big and try again.

It's better than trying to make Bargnani our starting center. :tears:

Tony, theres a rumor thats starting to boil involving Warriors and Pistons

A team source from the Pistons are reporting that there is interest in accruing BD and getting rid of Billup's long term deal.

Billups
Wallace

4

Davis
Harrington

Might be a few more pieces to it (Ws might give them the #14 pick or something) but either way, I REALLY REALLY hope this trade has legs. :D

Does this mean we'd get Jessica Alba too?

I do like Baron Davis (with or without Alba), and if they must trade Rasheed (my favorite Piston), I can think of no team I'd rather see him go to then the Warriors. So, I wouldn't be terribly upset with the trade.

However, I don't think it really improves the Pistons, and it would be making a move, just to make a move. They still have too many guards if they want to move Rodney Stuckey into the starting lineup, or give him a lot more minutes.

I'm afraid we might lose David Lee. And it's amazing in how many trade proposals, dreams, whatevers he's in. I hate Knicks fans.

DONE DEAL (in principle) :shout:

Unbelievable. Did not see this coming in a million years a week ago. It's risky, but I'll take it for the chance of reward. And again, if it fails, it's a 20 mil expiring in the Wade, Lebron, etc. year, will be perfect bait for a star to replace him and keep trying.

Byrd really wanted that 2nd 1st round pick. This is good for both teams though. O'Neal and Bosh should make a solid front court and with Calderon in the backcourt..

You know how many people say New York Knicks fans are passionate and knowledgeable, best fans in the world! It's all bollocks, they are morons.

Atleast those on internet. I literally hate them at this moment.

Charlotte got the the number 20 from Denver. That means they could be in the position to take both Brooke and Robin Lopez.  :funny: How great would that be?
