Michael Vick was a complete mess today.
Niners were awesome. How about that field goal by Akers?!

And it really hurt the NFL that they changed to that game right when it happen so everyone could see it. Eh. Yes it was a blunder but that was probably he only thing problematic so far. I certainly miss the recognizable refs but looks like they are going to just have to take what the NFL has to offer.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Horrible game by the Bills, but they got some chemistry going offensively late so maybe it can be a blip on the radar. Becoming pretty apparent they should draft a QB this year

Not sure how you can really think RG3 looked better. Well.. RG3- 320 pass yds, 2TD's and win against the Saints on the road > Cam- 422 pass yds, 2 Pass TD's, 1 Rush TD, an INT and a loss to the Cardinals Looked like he could have had a couple more scores as well

If the 'Skins played like they did against the Saint I think you could make a case for the NFC East being one of the tough divisions in football.

didn't you go to school in md?
and of all teams to like, the cowboys?
besides, i'm pretty sure you're a caps fan...and dallas has a team (that was decent in the 90s, too)...so you're not consistent in your team selections

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
just heard that joe haden got suspended for 4 games for taking adderall
as someone who formerly had adderall scripts...that's a bit odd. i don't know if he was using it illegally or not, but definitely seems odd to give him a suspension for one-fourth of the season while kenny britt gets a single game suspension after like 20 arrests in two years
or mikel leshoure - two games for marijuana (not that it should be illegal, but)
not that adderall isn't an awful drug.
still.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Fake field goal for a touchdown on 4th and 26? That takes some serious balls.

If we've learned anything tonight it's that the Colts are still awful.

They were winning by 3-0. I'd call that ballsy.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
It really wasn't. They were at the 27 yard line, so WORST case scenario is Chicago gets it at their own 30. A missed FG would've put it at the 34. So... ballsy, but seriously not that ballsy.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
It would have only been a 42 yard field goal.....that's not that far for a pro kicker so I'm going to put it in the semi-ballsy category.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
It was gutsy, but not crazy considering the placement on the field and being in the first half.
Clay Matthews better slow down or he's going to burn himself out or get hurt. It must be nice to have some fast young legs playing with him so they can't double team him all game like last year.
The Packers defense really showed up against the Bears. It's a good thing too. You don't want to go 0-2 to start the season, with both games at home, both in conference, and one in division.
Barring injury, the Packers are going to get better, especially defensively, as the season goes on. San Francisco was a tough first game, but by the end of the season I think we can take them.
