I guess the Flyers have the Bruins right where they want them.

All kidding aside, unlike last year I don't see the Flyers making any sort of miraculous comeback. The Bruins are healthy, they're clicking, and the Flyers don't have anything close to resembling a confident goaltender. That saying, the Bruins are going to need to come out again looking for blood. They can't afford to dick around and feel comfortable. But based on what happened last year and the overall quality of this Bruins team being better than last year's version, I fully expect them to close the series out on Friday.

And hey, a power play goal! It came 5 on 3 and well into garbage time, but they had to start somewhere.

And based on Semin's play in the final three minutes he might be gone too.

That was brutal.

If I'm the Caps I go back to the super offense style with Backstrom and Semin rolling. When they don't do that and those guys suck, they're just an average talent team.

Second, hopefully Bergeron doesn't have another concussion and was only sitting for precautionary reasons. I don't think the Bruins can afford to lose him for any length of time. And on that note it'd be nice if the Wings and Predators could extend their series just a little longer. The Bruins could use the rest.

Turns out Bergeron has a mild concussion. The Bruins think he'll at least miss the first two games. At least it doesn't sound too serious and if those Western Conference series can be dragged out a little longer, maybe he won't miss too much time.

Right now though it looks like Tyler Seguin is going to have to step it up. It might be a little hard for him though considering he hasn't played in three weeks.

As expected, Canucks with another poor effort. Maybe...just maybe AV will finally bench Samuelsson, Glass and Rome?

So why did the Bruins bench Seguin for most of the playoffs?

Because he wasn't much of a factor on the fourth line during the final weeks of the season. That line was also really clicking in the last month so they rode it into the playoffs. Now they have to figure out who they're going to sit when Bergeron comes back for Game 3.

Seguin could not have picked a better time to start playing his best hockey. It's also clear that he gives the Bruins a much needed boost on the power play.

Then again they should probably worry about closing out this game first.

Helluva game though.

Tampa did what they needed to do.

The Bruins need to stop turning the puck over. If they do that and get Bergeron back they'll be fine. But really...they need to stop turning the puck over. Tampa has at least four goals in the series off of turnovers. And ten goals given up over two games is just pathetic.

Penalties are killing the Sharks.

It looks like it will be Boston vs Vancouver.

Don't be too hasty; Tampa Bay was down 3-1 to Pittsburgh, and Vancouver almost blew a 3-0 lead to Chicago. Not to mention Boston's collapse last year. It's still too early to tell.
