A real defensive struggle this Giants/Cowboys game has been.

It was a very good game. The defensive coaches are probably shitting up a storm right now, but it was very entertaining to watch.

Tampa Bay will be ok as long as Garcia's in. He won't last long behind that line though.

Post Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I just heard on my local news that the Kevin Everret situation isn't very good. If I heard correctly, according to his orthopedic surgeon, it's highly unlikely that he'll be able to regain feeling again. Apparently there's a small chance that he might make a complete recovery, but according to the doctor's it's highly unlikely.

Edit: This is from ESPN.

Quote:
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills' Kevin Everett sustained a "catastrophic" and life-threatening spinal-cord injury and his chances of regaining a full range of body motion are very small, an orthopedic surgeon said Monday.

"A best-case scenario is full recovery, but not likely," Dr. Andrew Cappuccino said, one day after performing a four-hour operation on the player. "I believe there will be some permanent neurological paralysis. ... A full neurological recovery was bleak, dismal."

Here's the rest of the article - Everett has life-threatening spinal-cord injury

The 49ers really need a new stadium badly. Candlestick, or whatever it's called now, looks like a shithole. I've also always hated the look of the baseball/football look. Dolphin Stadium has it down well, but the random seats jetting out in Qualcom and here look awful.

This is how boring this game has been.

He didn't need to throw it that far. And it was only SLIGHTLY overthrown.

Sources: Goodell determines Pats broke rules by taping Jets' signals

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined that the New England Patriots violated league rules Sunday when they videotaped defensive signals by the New York Jets' coaches, league sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

NFL security officials confiscated a camera and videotape from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella on the New England sidelines when it was suspected he was recording the Jets' defensive signals. Sources say the visual evidence confirmed the suspicion.

Goodell is considering severe sanctions, including the possibility of docking the Patriots "multiple draft picks" because it is the competitive violation in the wake of a stern warning to all teams since he became commissioner, the sources said. The Patriots have been suspected in previous incidents.

The Patriots will be allowed an opportunity to present their case by Friday, sources said, most likely via the telephone.

The league also was reviewing a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during Sunday's game, sources said. The team did not have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game.

Goodell is expected to have a decision no later than Friday but that is not set in stone.

The league refused comment but did confirm Monday that they were reviewing a possible violation by the Patriots.
