Bases loaded, 2 outs, down by 4. Can't ask for more drama than that.

Edit* nm. I think Rangers fans can join Indians, Cubs and Mariners fans now.

The Rangers are now the choke artist of the year.

yeah, we could lose to the Baltimore Os Friday night at home.

Oh wait, thats gonna happen.

as I said.

And as I said, could be worse. Your team could've finished with 69 wins.

Meanwhile, tonight was the first night I've paid attention to baseball since June. You've at least had a reason to be invested all season.

Would you rather have 2011 Red Sox or 2012 Red Sox? Both suck, but at least with the latter you never had to build up hope to have it all squashed away. That's the worst sports feeling.

2011 hands down. Then again, maybe it's because that's how I grew up with the Red Sox. They were always good and likable, but they could never quite get over the hump.

The 2012 team was filled with a bunch of unlikable pricks who were paid more than what they were worth and at best could only manage a .500 record.

Maybe Hamilton dropped that ball on purpose. So he could leave without the fans being sore about it. Classic misdirection. One of the L.A. teams will still give him $150M+.

I'm with you Magnus btw. Losing to the Sox in the 2007 ALCS was much worse than these last few terrible years.

And even though both L.A. just took on huge contracts, missing the playoffs will trigger another panic move. Greinke is also in store for a huge contract.

I'd be in on Hamilton going to the Cubs. Boston, New York and Philadelphia should probably stay away from both Hamilton and Greinke knowing their fanbases, so that might lessen the competition. Dodgers if they're still making it rain can get either obviously

Oakland needs to win 3 in a row or they are done. Detroit is made for 5 game series.

Verlander was lights out. Loved seeing it in the playoffs.

These games proved that Oakland rotation is too young and too inexperienced in these big situations.

Looks like the Cardinals don't need King Albert after all.

Yeah it probably was. Nobody else would have the balls to take out the highest paid player in the game. Of course only the Yankees have that luxury...

My dad asked me which team he should bet on to win the WS while he's in Vegas... I said the Reds (they were up 1-0 at the time)... sorry to any Reds fans here

Campus was crazy enough last year with Cardinals in the World Series last year. If it happens again... I'm not going to get sleep that night as people will be chaotic/honking outside for at least the double the time (meaning over 3 hours)

Interesting postseason this year. All LDS games go to 5 for the first time, more wins on the road than at home, bullpens being used alot, and I mean alot. At least the Tigers won, now Chippy can continue to watch baseball.
