No, we got the bronze. I'm stunned, didn't expect either of those medals, since Cdn men SUCK.

But yay!

If we get 4 more gold medals and get it to 13, we'll tie Norway and the Soviet Union for most gold medals at one Winter Olympics, ever. :D

Hopefully men's curling tomorrow, men's hockey, and...? Men's snowboarding? team bobsleighing? speed skating men's team?

I dunno...

Very good Olympics for China and Korea, I'd say.

I'd say Russia and Austria are the big losers at these Olympics.

OMG WTF this canada vs. slovakia game was WAY too close for comfort. Great, GREAT effort on Slovakia's part. I wish they were battling the US instead of Finland, heh.

CANADA VS. USA THIS SUNDAY!!1

Bernard lost against a much more experienced opponent.

Bernard had skill, but the Norberg has experience 10X more than Bernard really.

Steve Martin however is a curling legend and has a wealth of experience, he will win no problem imo.

Canada has 3 more guaranteed medals and by my calculations has a great chance at 2 more.

An all time performance for Canada, and a solid 3rd place finish.

I wouldn't doubt that a U.S. vs. Canada hockey final would break the ratings record in Canada, which I think is held by the '02 hockey final?

Well, CAN has 10 right now, the US 8. Tomorrow, curling CAN should get an 11th gold. The US could get one in bobsleigh (US is first right now, Can teams are second and sixth). Also, men`s speedkating, the US and Canadian teams will be going for gold against each other.

Oh man, if CAN gets those tomorrow, itd be at 13 gold, which ties for most golds at a winter olympics, like i said above. and the hockey gold would make it 14.

But we`ll see. Exciting! We`re at least guaranteed two more silvers tomorrow and at least another silver on Sunday. So the minimum medal count will be 24, matching Torino. One surprise anywhere, and we`ll have our best Olympics ever. I think bobsleighing will give us one medal, either gold, silver, or bronze.

Either way, given we have more golds, this is already Canada`s most successful Olympics ever. So yay!!!

Couldn't have summed it up better myself, Boxy! That gold medal total for Canada just blows my mind. 10 Gold, already 3 better than our past best, and perhaps still a few more Gold yet to win! Definitely our most successful Olympics yet.

Peace,
Mike

It's probably going to break the ratings record, which is now held by the Opening Ceremonies at 13.3 Million, it was held before by the 2002 hockey final. The previous CAN vs USA game and the Quarterfinal vs RUS both scored over 10 million, the gold medal game could top 15m.

OH MY GOD!!

Canadian Jasey Jay Anderson just won a totally unexpected GOLD in Men's parallel giant slalom!!! And it was a huge comeback win for gold in run 2 of the finals! WOW!! I am SO happy for him. He got 5th in 1998, 6th in 2002 and 4th in 2006, and FINALLY wins a medal, and it's GOLD!!! :D

The Canadians in Men's Team Pursuit also won their speed skating GOLD, beating the US team!! :D

Oh, and by the way, with Anderson's unexpected win, Canada has officially had their best olympics ever not just in terms of Gold wins, but overall medal total as well! 25 medals at least (23 right now, with a guaranteed medal from men's curling and mens' hockey).

Peace,
Mike

Mike

They would still win silver if they lost against us in the final.

13TH GOLD!

SO, SO WELL DESERVED. Such a thrilling game! I'm very happy for Kevin Martin :D :D :D

We are now officially tied with Norway and Soviet Union for most gold ever. Hopefully the men's hockey team will make it a new record at 14 tomorrow.

All the game tomorrow's gonna decide is whether or not Canada can break the record for gold medals at a single Winter Olympics. And bragging rights, of course.
