Oh, let's cut this bullshit, OK? Everytime someone loses, people immediately say it was never this or never that. If Spain had lost everyone would say "Oh, well they never really lived up to their potential" The Germans played well this tournament, better than expected, and had they won it would have been perfectly reasonable. Anyway, HUP HOLLAND HUP!

Also, this proves my view that, the more attractive the players, the more likely they'll win. The Spanish boys are very cute (except the guy who scored), while the Germans, bleargh. Obviously, the Dutch are fucked

But I would not mind germany winning as they would be better opponents for the dutch. I want the dutch to win this one. I said this yesterday. Spain were the favorites coming into the tournament. Just that they did not play at their best.

I'm rooting for Spain. As for this game, the dominating team won, richly deserved. Germany was unable to do anything against the ball secure and technical superior Spain.

Spain is highly ranked! Also, notice that Asian and African teams are low scored. Racists

Germany tries to counter attack waiting for a opening. Thankfully a positive team won today. Spanish defense was much better than english or argentine defense.

Spain Dominated with their passes, but doesn't score much, still, their mental toughness is great helping them scoring late in games. I have them beating Holland 2-0.

In August 2010, the next Arcade Fire studio album will be released. Time to cheer again.

For all the passing, the fucking passing, Passing, PASSING, a HEADED goal won them this game. Maybe less passing next time, Spain

Can we put Germany down as the favourites for 2014? If their young players ripen appropriately? Yes?

Re: The Official FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 thread
I'll be pulling for Netherlands to win as well. Sure, this team doesn't possess the beauty and flair of the previous teams that I have been loving since 1988 (except for showing a glimpse during the 30 minutes in the second half of Uruguay game), and Robben's flopping and Van Bommel's fouling bother me quite a bit; they're more like a regular European team than the one with distinct style which you can fall in love with. Still, I want them to win for past injustice of those teams not winning and for shredding the label of best nation that has never won. This is for Van Basten, my favorite player of all time.

He's lucky Germany didn't tie it and go on to win. Anyway, It's just the way he played it, i could understand if he didnt see Torres but he clearly did! it was 2 on 1 and Torres was wide open yet pedro decided to go on himself and put his glory over the team. Im sure he's getting a good verbal beating right now even though Spain won.
