 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Shortest overtime in NFL history.

Football is not nearly as certain as people tend to think it is.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
Good performance by Tebow and the Broncos. I'm glad they won as I'm not a fan of the Steelers. It'll be interesting how things go down next weekend but I think the Patriots will win that game. Night games at home are always extremely difficult for a road to win.
As for the playoff OT rules, it was a bit confusing listening to the referee explain it but I like the new rules. It was just a bit funny how it worked out that they didn't even need to apply them to this game though. Great ending.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
I have to say the Steelers had one of the worst game plans I have seen. The Chiefs and Bills gave teams the perfect blueprint on how to play Tebow, and the Steelers ignored it. They put 8 men in the box and tried to stop the run. The Chiefs last week played tight coverage and kept the safeties back looking for the big play. You have to be willing to give up some rushing yards with this offense like the Chiefs and Bills both did. I think the Pats will probably follow that approach.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
So Josh McDaniels' first game with the Pats will be against Tim Tebow.

However, I am sure he will give some insight about the Denver players, especially Tebow. Also, injuries will be a big deal for this game. The Broncos probably will be missing 3 key starters, including Decker and Dawkins. The Pats are healthy and will have 3 starters who missed the previous game, including two of their best defensive players Spikes and Chung.

Offensive assistant. He will be coaching.
Broncos will be missing Decker and one of their O-lineman. Dawkins missed the Pats game. But having Chung and Spikes back is HUGE for the Pats run defense. Especially Spikes, because he played with Tebow for four years.

It still hurts missing Dawkins, their passing defense has been very bad since he got hurt.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
The only reason I can fathom the Raiders doing that is because they already have agreed to a deal with a big name coach. There a lot of them out there dong analysis for the various networks and websites.

Don't see anything wrong with it. The Raiders were very undisciplined, and he was a part of the "old regime". He should have never been the coach to begin with.

I think he now might end up as the offensive coordinator in Kansas City. The Chiefs have a tendency to pick up ex Raider coaches to stick it to them.

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
3 first quarter turnovers by the Saints (2 fumbles & 1 int) = 17-0 49ers shutout so far

 Re: 2011 NFL Discussion
The Patriots/Broncos game is the direct opposite of the 49ers/Saints in terms of excitement.
