Re: The Official FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 thread
Yeah, I can't say I was deeply impressed by the Dutch. They're like Spain, in that I haven't seen them play to what I think is their potential.
I still think this Cup is Germany's to lose.

Re: The Official FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 thread
The dutch spend too much time on the ground grovelling for free kicks and to try to get opponents a yellow card.

Meh, if Germany manages to enter the finale and doesn't have a bad day they'll beat the underwhelming Holland.

Re: The Official FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 thread
One worry I have for Germany is that they might have peaked too soon. Also I want to see how they handle when allowing a goal first or dealing with a 0:0 tie longer than the past two games. Once they get the lead, they're deadly with their counterattacks, but I'm not sure how they will perform when facing adversity, while both Netherlands and Spain have shown the ability to either come from behind or grind out for a late goal to victory.

Yeah, though one thing Germany has working for it on this count is that neither Spain nor the Netherlands have been great starters thus far. Let's see if that changes.

Btws, I have tremendous respect for Forland. He has worked as hard as anyone at this tournament, gave everything for his country, and by all appearances is a gentleman.

I love it how you guys already promoted Germany to the finals past the reigning European champions. Vamos España! And then, of course, Hup, Holland, Hup!

Diego Forlán*
I am filled with shame at misspelling his name.

Germany 0:1 Spain
Think Muller's absence will be felt.

Re: The Official FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 thread
I think spain have the better team and have not yet peaked. I think spain is winning this 2-1.
But I would not mind germany winning as they would be better opponents for the dutch. I want the dutch to win this one.

That's what I am thinking too. If Spain manages the first goal of the match, they will win. If Germany does, we will win. I don't see a Holland/Brazil kind of match. Anyway... Germany 3:1 Spain
