Who couldn't complete the Golden sweep for China. But I also felt bad for the other Chinese diver in the 10m platform, who was the only Chinese diver not to medal.

The women final was also on tape, and I think this tragedy-turned-triumph type of story is just too good for NBC to not try to squeeze everything out of it.

Whoa that was a blast from the past. I'm sure it's been mentioned before in the thread, but since this was the first USA basketball game I've watched during the Olympics that was the first time I've heard the "NBA on NBC" theme in years.

These have been actually a more successful games for America than the Athens games! They're going to get as many golds, 36, but a bigger total. In fact, they got more medals than at any game since 1904, minus the 1984 boycotted games.
