'Nother great game... San Diego almost deserved to lose for playing Johnson while injured in the last 30 seconds though though. Talk about an easy target defensively.

Watched 2 games last night. The refs sure suck.

USC stunk up most of the game and were down by 8 or 10 based on 4 missed shots but then they got called for like 4 straight fouls which never let them back in the game.

And the total opposite, I watched some of the Duke game. I don't care if the refs make the same calls all games. But in the last 5 minutes of the game, no ref foul calls as Duke was behind and the no calls allowed Duke to win the game.

You can kinda tell Mike Krzyzewski's got some serious skeletons in his closet.

I mean, he looks like Mr. Burns.

Only one close game on right now. Siena is pulling a shocker right now and would be the second really big upset of the day.

My final 8 is still intact.

That's always good...

Oklahoma, while painful to watch, played better than expected.

I think the St. Joe's game was the one game where a majority expected the lower seed to win (at least among the knowledgeable NCAA crowd). Could Oklahoma be a spoiler?

I'm never making multiple brackets again. I totally called Siena AND San Diego (check the Yahoo! one), but unfortunately, the bracket I care most about was the one I played safe, and went with the higher seed. Blehhhhh.

I had a feeling about Siena, I guess it is because I don't think Vandy was that good.

Could Siena go Sweet 16? Maybe...

This Clemson/Villanova game is a mess. Clemson's definitely outplaying Villanova, but they have no strategy. It looks like a free-for-all.

Goes to show, too, how messed up the ranking system is this year. We (Cornell) beat Siena, yet got clobbered by Stanford. Meanwhile, Siena clobbers Vandy.

I'm starting to think that Stanford, in Vandy's division, could've been a #2 and Cornell - had we been a #13 seed - LIKE EVERY MAJOR NEWS OUTLET PREDICTED - and played UConn, we could've made second round. Fuck the Selection Gods!

In fact, can they just keep the cameras on the Clemson cheerleaders?

Louisville, although comfortably in front of Boise, looks weak.

Memphis is looking hot and showing their speed, but UT-Arlington is putting up a heart-felt fight. I wouldn't be surprised if this game stayed close.

If Clemson wins I don't think Siena can beat them. They would need Nova to come back to get that far.

Siena has no height or defense, but they can outrun Clemson. They were shooting 55% today! Clemson has no defense, either. Whoever leads in possessions will win that game - I wouldn't be surprised if both teams top 80 points.

On another note, I feel bad for Indiana. They coulda been serious contenders, you'd think they would get it together before the Tournament.

Actually that is wrong because Clemson is a very good defensive team. They made Duke commit the most turnovers they had all season.

It's not that Clemson doesn't play defense, but rather they play such a in-your-face full-court pressure defense. They have good athletes to rattle a lot of teams, but they run into an experienced team who knows how to beat the press, like UNC, they will give up a lot of fast break layups.

Yeah, Vandy is just a mediocre team, especially away from home; a lot of "pundits" called that one, given Siena already beat Stanford this season.

Actually that isn't true because they played UNC to a close games 3 times and they lost those games not because of their defense but poor foul shooting. That is Clemson's major weakness.

My Sweet 16 will be minus 3 teams if Boise State can't come back

I didn't say they lost because of their defense, but if you look at the stats, you will see that UNC scored a lot of fast break points, especially during the last game. On the other hand, they also score a lot of easy baskets off turnovers.

Clemson fell in love with the three which is not their game. Their game is going inside and now they can't seem to do that right. I am still hoping Clemson can come back.
