Yeah, and we won it without the use of pine tar on our pitcher's hand like Kenny Roger's had to resort to before he got popped in front of the whole nation...

Luck is what happened there and furthermore, I think the Tiger's should've forfeited Game 2 cause of this guy..

LET'S GO CARDINALS!!!! The St.Louis Cardinals are now leading 4-3 in Game 4 or 5, whichever it is due to the rain out last night.. We win this, it'll be 3-1 in the series.. And to think no one gave the Cardinals a chance against The Tiger's who are supposed to be so formidable..

No one would've ever of thought the underdogs like the Cardinal's could possibly beat The Tiger's for as much hype that was made over the Tiger's being the better team with their pitching.. The Cardinal's are good to when they have their game face on and have proven this thus far..

Not so fast Cardinals fans... you've got Jeffrey Weaver pitching tomorrow (a guaranteed Tiger victory) and then Detroit has Kenny Rogers pitching in game 6 (another guaranteed victory).
Looks like we're headed for a game 7 showdown between Chris Carpenter and Nate Robertson... which means Cardinals win it in 7. But at least you turd bags will have to wait a few more games!!!

This series ends tonight at Busch Stadium.. There won't be a game 6 or game 7 cause we'll be celebrating in the streets of Downtown St.Louis while the Tiger's head back home to Detroit to wipe the Pine Tar off and lick their wounds baby!!!!!

Those Cards really surprised me. It's not that I didn't think they could win, I just never would have guessed them doing it in 5 games.
Not to take anything away from the Cards, but the Tigers just didn't have the same spark they did against the Yankees and A's. They looked like exactly like the team that got swept by the Royals at the end of the season. They're just so schizophrenic. Anyhow, I can't be sad about them losing... at the beginning of the year I remember thinking I'd be happy if they just got over .500 for the year. I would have never guessed in a million years that they would have made it to the World Series.

I actually think what the Tigers did was a lot more impressive than what the Cardinals did. That's not to take anything away from the Cardinals, but when a team that has gone so long without making the playoffs in consecutive years makes it all the way to the World Series in it's first competitive year is pretty damn good. An 83-79 team winning the World Series is impressive, but it's not like the Cardinals haven't been there before.
Still though, if a championship had to go to another city besides Boston, I'm glad it's St. Louis. And the Tigers, well they have their fanbase back which is great.

So St. Louis, start celebrating.
Aha, my ultimate streak is complete! I outdid last year, 0-7! Unstoppable.
Tony was right to trust my anti-instincts, even when all else was pointing in Detroit's favour, it didn't matter.
