These are they keys here in my opinion. Any sport where ties are frequent is flawed. Ties are a huge buzzkill. When you got huge rivals playing against each other (ala Maple Leafs vs. Canadiens), the hype that builds up to the game and climax's at the last minute of the 3rd period! AND IT'S A FRIGGIN TIE :evil:

I'm not sure if this has been covered already, but is it true they are changing the playoff format so that now 20 teams make it, instead of 16?
