 Re: Hey Boston....
With the way they play defense i can see the Celts repeating and maybe even three-peat.

 Re: Hey Boston....
Yes the east is getting stronger, but that doesn't mean that the Celtics aren't. Just because they're lead by three veterans doesn't mean they won't benefit greatly from Rondo another year older, even Perk. I wouldn't at this point pick the Celtics to win, however I think people are doing the same thing they did before the finals. Underrating the Celtics because their not sexy, because they play defense better than their offense. It happened when everyone picked LA in 5-7, and it looks to be happening again. Also the Patriots will always have a chance to win when Tom Brady is on the field. The Red Sox have like the 2nd best record in the league and have been hit really hard by injuries. Your prediction on the Bruins looks good though.

 Re: Hey Boston....
You know what's odd? As much as I don't think the Bruins will win a championship this decade (because that would be absurd since they haven't been out of the first round in close to 10 years), I think they're closer than most people would give them credit for. Then again, who outside of me and five other people from Boston pay close enough attention to the Bruins to even realize how close they might actually be?
To be quite honest, I think we're a couple of veterans away from making a nice run in the playoffs. People seem to forget (or just not know, because they are afterall the Bruins) that the Bruins played without their best player and playmaker all year (sorry, he played in 10 games) in Patrice Bergeron. It's a miracle that without him they made it into the #8th spot in the East, and it's flat out astonishing that they took a team who they hadn't beaten all year, to seven games in the first round, all of which without Bergeron.
If Patrice Bergeron manages to stay healthy and if the Bruins are willing to spend some cash on a decent free agent (resigning Chuck Kobasew is a good start), all I can say is you never know. We're going to be a better team next year regardless since Bergeron will be healthy, but a couple of pieces here and there could go a long way.

No, Celtics didn't have a shot once Shaq went down as soon as he came back. It wasn't smart to put the hopes of another championship on 39/300+ pound legs.
I give a thumbs up because Dirk and Kidd played their hearts out and put Lebron to shame.

 Re: Hey Boston....
That didn't help either.
The injury bug caught up with them this year, plain and simple.
