 Re: Heisman!
Why? Curious...
McCoy deserves it, clearly. And out of this world completion percentage. LEADS the team in rushing yards. He CARRIED Texas to a National Championship berth... and got screwed by the voters.

 Re: Heisman!
Bradford will win and deserves it. He's just as much important to OU as McCoy is to UT. Plus he has all teh big numbers (rating, tds, yards and his team crushing opponents).

 Re: Heisman!
McCoy didn't have a 1000 yard receiver. He didn't have a 400 yard rusher.
Bradford had TWO 1000 yard rushers AND an 1000 yard receiver.
Tebow had Harvin.
McCoy is more important.

 Re: Heisman!
McCoy deserves it. What people don't seem to understand is that when the Heismen first started it was based on a career. Then they gave out the Davey, Doak, Maxwell, etc. Somewhere along the road we lost what the Heisman really meant. It isn't meant to be a single season award. Tebow shouldn't have won it last year. Bradford shouldn't win it this year. McCoy has had the most complete career out of the 3.
Bradford will win though.

 Re: Heisman!
McCoy.
Tebow has a great supporting cast and a stingy defense that helps out the team.
Bradford has the running game that allows him to pass well.
McCoy was terrific all season (Tebow started cold) and had some games that were simply ridiculous. His pass % completion is out of this world also.

McCoy is more important. McCoy didn't have a 1k yard receiver? I think that's because of all the dump off passes he throws to a whole cohort of receivers. Pick a favorite McCoy and go with it. He didn't have a 400 yard rusher. Probably because Texas can't run the ball so it was put on his shoulders too run when the lanes opened up. Good for him. A QB leading your team in rushing isn't something to actually be proud of. Bradford had TWO, yes TWO 1k yard rushers and he still put up his incredible #s. He's practically the reason his rushers could rush so well besides that potent offensive line. Other teams simply to have respect his passing ability so they can't shut down the run. That's called balance. McCoy is more important? Every QB is important and neither of these 3 finalists is "more important" to their team than the others. That's such a stupid, yes stupid, argument. Sam Bradford should and I hope will win the Heisman simply because he's the best player on the best team with the best stats Hands down. There's no argument one can make on stats only "intangibles" as to why Bradford shouldn't win the dang thing. Oh, and Harrell not getting invited is pretty ludicrous imo.

 Re: Heisman!
Wow, I thought it was going to be closer. I mean, it was close, but I thought that the winner was going to win by 20 points or so. Bradford ended up winning by over 100 points. Interesting that Tebow had more 1st place votes but ended up in 3rd.

Good, Tebow deserved it the least.

 Re: Heisman!
One thing this does bode well for... McCoy will end up being the best Pro... because Heisman winners are usually not good pros.

Interesting that Tebow had more 1st place votes but ended up in 3rd. Think those 3rd place votes meant that some downgraded him based on being a past winner or this season wasn't as good as Heisman year.

 Re: Heisman!
i was going for tebow. i can't believe he had the most first place votes and lost. tebow is a beast. he carried his team and he WAS the offense in that alabama game.

Big Deal, 3 more 1st place vote but 50 less 2nd place votes. aned out of 6 regions, the only one that Tebow won was in the South. Overall Bradford creamed Tebow in the voting.

 Re: Heisman!
I do think that this will help to motivate McCoy though. He's already voiced that he wants to return for his senior season. I think being shut out of the BIG 12 championship game (and therefore the BCS game) and not winning the Heisman will motivate him big next year.
