I saw that as well. I'll investigate it today.

Malcolm's last post in thread was showing "Edited by Anonymous on 01/19/21" earlier, not sure why it's gone now.

Lol this thread got bumped by an anonymous edit 12 years later?

It's funny looking at the viewership numbers now literally no scripted programs are even coming close.

Re: Thursday (1/22/09)
While CSI's not the same without Grissom, I like that they completely embraced that (at least in the one episode so far).

Catherine's the boss now, Ecklie's the new Undersheriff, and now Nick is like the second in command that Catherine used to be. I like what they decided to do with Grissom's office a lot.

Also, I like how Laurence Fishburne wasn't just introduced as the new boss, or some cop or whatever. The reason I love CSI, and not the Miami and New York crap, is that CSI is still focused on the science aspect way, way more than the cop-side of it. The fact that the cop POV we get is Brass makes me actually like the cop-side of it also as he couldn't be further from the horrible, horrible (horrible!) "Horatio Cane" as played by David Caruso. Ugh. Did I mention he's horrible?

Anyway, about the ratings...

I think CSI will hold steady just fine, as it's not like it was "the Grissom show" or anything. There are other characters who've been there from the start who are still around and worth watching for.

I'm glad that Bones actually managed to do pretty well on Thursday night. I've never watched it, but I have residual BtVS/Angel fandom love for it.

Ratings-wise, The Office is really NBC's only "hit" on Thursday's, especially in the demo. 30 Rock was renewed for next season already, though, so it's safe even with the return to "meh" at best viewership levels.

Re: Thursday (1/22/09)
It looks like CSI is back to what it was doing pre-strike 2007-2008. Which is still good for an aging show, and better than its younger spin-offs.

Bones did well (8 PM). It held its own at a very competitive 9 PM slot and luckily it's not gonna air there. So who said it's still riding on the coattails of it's lead-in/out? lol. We need Survivor back to finally have an 8 PM smackdown.

Kath and Kim. Ugh.

Re: Thursday (1/22/09)
I wonder how William Petersen's exit from CSI will affect the show in the long run.

On the ABC front, Ugly Betty unfortunately looks like it's beginning to die in that time slot. I have a feeling season 4 (next season) might be its last. Grey's is back to more typical levels after what looked like a series low the week before. Private Practice is actually doing OK, looks like the post-Grey's slot has saved it.
