Goblet of Fire Full Trailer 1

As an avid Harry Potter reader, I was quite disappointed by the first film in the series, because I felt it failed to capture the magic that made the characters and the story tick. The good thing though is that it seems like each new director seems to be learning something from the earlier films. The second and third films have been significantly better and watching the trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I believe it has the potential to raise the bar higher.

The trailer touches all the important aspects of the story; the tournament, the return of he who must not be named and of course growing pains. I must admit I cringed a little when I saw the flying horses which appeared a little cartoon like but the rest of the effects were pretty impressive. I especially liked the dragon and the underwater creatures but I think they really hit the nail on the head with Mad Eye Moody. The character looks just like I imagined and I am sure fans of the series will agree with me when I say that the magical eye is very freaky and cool at the same time. We also get a glimpse of the Yule ball and all the awkwardness that comes with hitting puberty.

To sum things up, the series is definitely moving into new territory with themes getting darker and more mature. I believe this is the first Potter film to earn a PG-13 rating. Look forward to this film in theatres on November 18th.
