Is it just me or does Charlize Theron NOT look like Charlize Theron. I’ve been looking forward to this trailer for a bit now and now that it is here, I can’t say I’m disappointed. Then again, I’m not too thrilled either.

The trailer sets up a very black and white world where everything is messed up and there are a few renegades left on a quest to make everything alright. It’s a very simplistic plot which leads me to believe that the film’s greatest strength will not lie with story and character depth. The trailer also features a lot of action, death defying stunts and neat gadgets. Looking at the trailer, one cannot escape the feeling of watching a replay of a video game. The CG isn’t top notch but then again, it’s not that bad either.

Expect this to offer nothing along the lines of intelligent movie making but just a whole lot of fun. The movie may work for some, may not work for others at all.
