Similiar to another 2024 horror flick, but actually competently made. This is how you direct actors. Take notes, Shyamalan family. Halle Berry is obviously trying to do a movie star performance, but the two kids are where you see the talent. This movie absolutely needs you to understand whats going on in their minds at all times and they never fail to deliver.

The third act ... I hate the phrase "wants its cake and eat it to" but it needs to be used here. It leads you to believe Mom is crazy for the whole movie only to suddenly drop an "or was she???" It was exciting to watch, but kinda annoying to think about it.

So I'll give Never Let Go a solid 7/10. Below Crawl and Oxygen but still good.
