A solid drama and feature film directorial debut for Robin Wright. The movie reflects on loss and grief and handles both of those well in the first half, the second half brings acceptance and while that's good its not as strong as the first half. The only interesting thing in the second half is knowing what exactly happened and maybe showing that earlier would have landed the emotional arc between Wright and a brilliant Demián Bichir slightly better. The story with Kim Dickens also needed a little more time.
