I am sure people will like this more than I do but I wasn't a big fan of the they-meet-they-broke-up-repeat structure of the movie. There was also never the sense why Sylvie really hid the pregnancy from Robert. While both actors are individually fine I felt their story was more powerful than their chemistry. Tessa Thompson as Slyvie is brilliant in here and should receive some awards attention for her work here. The supporting cast isn't here enough to make much of a difference and the movie should have explored the child's angel a little more here.
