Lena Olin is really great in this and it ends on a really strong note with a good emotional punch but the setup before this wasn't as convincing. For starters we never really get to know the depth of fame that Richard has and his relationship with Claire is never explored enough. They are hardly functioning as a couple. Add to that Richard's relationship with his daughter and the way he treats her child makes we wonder why do they put up with him in the first place. This is the reason the finale did not lend for me even though the ending in itself is really strong (reminded me of Glenn Close's The Wife).
