This was fun, delightful story that has equal amounts of Christmas flair and magic to set the tone right. The songs are servicable but I found the performances for the cast the lifts this up the most. Forest Whitaker and Madalen Mills were good enough but I found the younger cast more sharp here. It drags a little in the middle act loosing focus but overall this was a fun Christmas adventure movie specially for kids.

This reminded me a lot of The Greatest Showman. It was fun, charming and had great setpieces. It also looks like it cost Netflix a small fortune. B+
