There are handful of horrific, suspenseful and gory scenes in this movie with the dinner table sequence being the real standout, but I never felt like this lived up to its potential after that scene. I even thought the acting was pretty good for the most part considering it is such a low budget film, but it just didn't come together cohesively IMO, especially when it got the third act which completely lost me and seemed really rushed for some reason.

The ending is rushed and messed but I seriously loved the table scene and how gory it gets in some scenes. The premise had real promise but they squander the potential mostly because they had no budget and possibly even with that thin budget ran out of money in the end. The acting at times is so good and I felt instead of setting up a sequel in the end if they explained the origins of Hosts for a more coherent movie this would have done great. Overall the grade of the movie is close to Dil's C but because of that table scene and some good hide-and-seek middle half I give it a B-
