Definitely the best looking dog movie by Disney, honestly the early Disney movies are worth watching just for the visuals, forget the story or characters. The plot is fine, very cozy movie. Feels Christmasy. Lady is a relatable character in how she deals with unexpected change with the baby. I experience change like that in my friendships all the time at my age. It’s a little slow after their breakup in the third act, and the climax isn’t too exciting with the rat. Would have been better if the cats came back.

Beautiful looking movie. Decent setup, but the stakes needed to be much higher throughout. Whole thing feels slight despite actually decent scope. Definitely needed a bit more time to flesh out Lady and Tramps relationship. And I think they could have had a much more exciting finale if they’d used the cats rather than a rat. Really? A rat as the final act villain? Not even an anthropomorphic rat.

This is my new favorite of the early Disney periods. Lady and the Tramp is adorable from start to finish, has fun characters that you enjoy spending time with and is just packed with quality scenes. A
