Brigsby Bear is a endearing tale of healing from 'trauma' (Did they ever touch you?) through fanboyism. It's refreshingly gentle and sweet. The sections with original VHS episodes of Brigby and the Brigsby movie are perfectly staged to support the whole offbeat concept. Kyle Mooney co-wrote an awesome script and plays an authentic lead. BTW, it's really funny too! I left theatre knowing the world was a better place than when I arrived. *A+*

Lovely little gem. The trailer didn't do anything for me and I didn't have much interest in it but it opened at my theater so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. It's such a crowd-pleaser despite its offbeat premise. Really deserved to find an audience. I don't see how anyone could dislike this movie.
