It's an entertaining B-movie with some really interesting ideas (also it's eerily more timely than ever now) but it's slightly undone by the fact that in the end it doesn't really go anywhere. It also suffers from tonal shifts and can't decide whether it wants to be this bleak action-thriller or a tongue in cheek dark comedy. It's very high-concept and the lack of cuts in the editing is very well-done and keeps things moving (the whole thing is shot in what appear to be 10-15 minute takes). The action sequences are very well-done, particularly the climax, and Brittany Snow is decent as the lead. Angelic Zambrana is fun also as the film's main source of comic relief. But Dave Bautista is actually great and the main reason to see this. His monologue at the end of the film when his backstory is revealed is incredibly well-played and surprisingly emotional. This probably isn't campy enough to become a midnight movie classic but it's a fairly enjoyable watch. B-
