The Benefactor (originally titled Franny) is a 2015 drama film written and directed by Andrew Renzi. The film stars Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning, Theo James and Clarke Peters. The film follows a philanthropist meddling in the live of a newly-married couple attempting to relive his past. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17, 2015. The film was released in the United States on January 15, 2016, in a limited release and through video on demand by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
