Re: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
I feel bad because a buddy of mine is one of the three dozen credited writers on this film, but THE GHOST DIMENSION is the worst of the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films. It has some jumps due to CGI blobs flying at the camera, but it's never actually scary, and unlike PA4 -- which at least had a fun final ten minutes -- this one crashes and burns at the finish line.

Does it answer the questions the series has brought up like it promises to do?

I guess. You find out what Toby's ultimate goal is, why Hunter is important, etc. But the answers feel like they contradict earlier things we learned.

Re: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
Wow. This is an incredibly ignoble way to end a profitable and at times craftily conceived horror series. Simply regarded as a low-budget found-footage exercise, it is dull and far too reliant on computer-generated demonic vapor suspended in midair. (A wispy digital demon is a sad addition to a franchise known for its spirit of economy. Remember the camera attached to an oscillating fan in the third and best film?) Regarded as the close of a franchise long on teasing conspiracy-theory serialization, this entry is rushed, incompetent, and sure to satisfy...maybe no one.
