How to Get Ahead in Advertising is a 1989 British film written and directed by Bruce Robinson and starring Richard E. Grant and Rachel Ward. The title is a pun and can be literally taken as "How to Get a Head in Advertising".

Re: How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989)
When I finally ended up seeing this cult "classic" back in the day, I was sorely disappointed in it's one joke premise. I'd rather go watch Withnail & I again, thank-you very much. *C*

How to Get Ahead in Advertising
Had it downloaded for a while and thought I'd put it on after seeing it bumped with the above review. Plus, as I'm in marketing I thought it would be interesting. Boy, was I wrong. It's weird. It starts off as if to be an interesting look at the advertising industry and society with some home truths etc., but it quickly spirals out of control into the story of a mentally deranged ad executive with a talking boil on his neck. It's shit, and I'm glad to remove this from my laptop.
