Re: Just Before I Go
Tt's sweet enough and has its heart in the right place, and the cast is charming which makes it a bit more enjoyable. LOVE Courteney Cox to death but you can tell completely that this is her first movie. It's awkwardly paced and edited and while some visuals are kind of cool a lot of it feels sitcom-esque. The script also isn't very strong and doesn't give the actors a lot to work with aside from Seann William Scott, who admittedly is very good. Olivia Thirlby's character mainly feels shoehorned in because they needed a love interest to move the plot along and is clearly from the same mold as similar characters from films like Garden State and Elizabethtown. This movie actually mirrors the latter film in a lot of ways, except I thought that one was much more successful. Also, I HATED the Kyle Gallner/Evan Ross subplot. Gallner's a good actor but it's so poorly handled. C
